Happy New Year!
I've been trying to go through the crazy amount of stories to put some new ones up for publication.
Here is one that was ready. It's super short but hopefully will put a smile on your face.
Much love,
Marionette
He was having a crappy week.
First, his request for taking early college classes had been lost in the mail, missing the Fall deadline. Than his lab partner dropped their Chemistry assignment on the floor, destroying half the lab. Than Sailor Moon got her silly bum in trouble again and while he was trying to save her Mars tripped him into a light pole. Gingerly he rubbed the side of his temple where a small bruise hid under his hairline. Fire-loving jerk. Now on top of all that Odango was acting strangely. She hadn't yelled or uttered anything once in the last thirty minutes he'd been sitting here.
She was unnerving him. Why was she ignoring him? How dare she rob him of the only normality he clung to in his existence? Frustration began to well within him and Motoki caught Mamoru's frame tense. Mamoru's fingers were gripped so tightly around his cup he was afraid it would shatter at any moment.
"So, how was school?" Motoki tried a bit uneasily as he tried to engage his best friend in conversation. It was better than letting him brood. Mamoru's dark colbolt eyes were slits as he turned them on his best friend.
"I received detention for the next week since my partner blew up our science lab." He snapped out and Motoki gulped a bit.
"Bring a book," Usagi muttered quietly beside him and Mamoru finally snapped. Didn't she know her role? Didn't she know she was supposed to stare at him and yell at him and call him names. How dare she mess up the only thing in his life he had enjoyed being constant. Instantly he spun on her, his stool underneath him squeaking violently at the sudden motion.
"That is it!" He yelled and the blonde beside him shrunk, surprise jumping to her eyes as her fingers slowly slipped from the milkshake she had been sipping slowly. She shot a terrified look to Motoki and the same look of alarm was on his face at the upperclassman's sudden actions. "Why are you not yelling at me?!" He spat, towering into her personal space and Usagi gulped alarmed, suddenly wishing Makoto was here to kick his ass.
"I lost my voice," she squeaked out, her voice raw and Mamoru looked at Motoki who nodded quickly. "Can't I sit next to you without having to yell at you?" she cried, her throat screaming at her for using it. Her eyes immediately dove for her milkshake, wishing for the cool liquid to be sliding down her throat once more.
"No! You can't!" He snapped and Usagi's eyes widened, her face displaying clearly that he had lost his mind.
"That is stupid," she spat quietly, her form standing, their bodies pressed together and Mamoru felt everything in his head explode. All his anger and frustration and for the first time he didn't think about his actions, he just did.
Usagi cried out in alarm when his arms wrapped around her and she gasped, his lips crashing upon hers. Motoki gasped, ready in an instant to separate them if Usagi decided to scream.
Mamoru bent her backwards, his lips working across hers until finally he felt her lips relax against his own and respond.
"Hey!" A voice suddenly screamed across the arcade and Usagi pulled away, alarm on her face as she held onto his arms to keep herself from falling. "What are you doing?!" Makoto screamed pointing a finger at the two and Usagi looked from her friend to the hot guy holding her in his arms. She felt his arms start to slack and she gasped than reached up, her small hands cupping his cheeks and bringing his lips quickly back to her own.
Maybe it wasn't such a bad day afterall.
