It's You

If tomorrow never comes
I would want just one thing

She smiled in the early morning hours of the day, the sun barely just cracking over the mountains in the east, hardly grazing the inn windows yet. Brushing her stringy red hair from her eyes, she glanced almost shyly to at the form beside her as she sat up. Curling into a ball she rested her head against her knees, eyes never leaving him.

I would tell it to the stars and the sun
I would write it for the world to see

So confusing and twisted was the path that had lead to her sitting in this bed in one of the many nameless inns in Prontera. Tentatively she reached out and ran her fingers through the red hair of the one laying beside her as he slept. A soft sigh escaped her and she bit her lip to stop it in its tracks. This was a golden moment and she wanted to keep it that way for as long as possible.

And it's you
The light changes when you're in the room

God… How had she gotten away? How had she ended here, feeling safe now? After so long? So many things she had thought she couldn't escape, so much shit from lives upon lives… and now…

Oh it's you
Oh it's you

A few small tears trickled down her cheeks, and she lay back down, pulling the soft sheets back over her body and nuzzling against the rogue. Love. Yes, love. She had it now. How had that happened? She never thought it really would. And yet, here she lay …

If tomorrow never comes
I would want just one wish

He had saved her so many times now, weak, foolish child that she was. She couldn't handle the things that she needed to most of the time. She couldn't even kill an Orc without going through half the potions she made daily. Weak. Yes, very weak. And he didn't care about it. He had announced once, when this union had started, that if she couldn't protect herself, he would just have to do it for her.

To kiss your quiet mouth
And trace the steps with my finger tips

And he had. No matter what. There had almost been times where her potions and tonics couldn't save him because he had gotten hurt so badly trying to protect her from her own stupidity. But they were still here. He hadn't abandoned her, or hurt her, or threw her away.

And it's you
The light changes when you're in the room

Softly, she pressed her lips to his and closed her eyes once more, as the dawn broke over the city.

Oh it's you

Oh it's you
Oh it's you
