"Bye Jaime" said Ororo.
Jaime Madrox looked at his home and then at his parents' car.
"We'll miss you," said Ray.
"Yeah things won't be lively without you," said Sam.
"Bye guys," said Jaime, he sounded close to tears.
"Come on Jaime!" yelled his father.
Jaime took one last look at the institute, but finally he got into the car.
"Like call us," said Kitty.
"Don't worry I will," replied Jamie
Roberto De Costa sighed; he thumped his pencil repeatedly.
Damn a forty-page report by Christmas! Who does he think I am? Albert Einstein, he thought.
Roberto dark skin contrasted with the blank sheet of paper before him. His wavy black hair looked as if a war had been fought up there. Now twenty-two he had gained a considerable amount of muscle, and his powers were extremely powerful. He sighed yet again and got up from the table. Maybe spending some time with the younger students would clear his mind. He made his way through the mansion, and stepped outside. The cool autumn breeze felt good against his hot face. He walked over to where the younger students were playing basketball.
"Mind if I join?" asked Roberto.
"Sure," said one of the boys.
"Be on my team Roberto," said Darren
"No be on mine," begged Wesley.
"I tell you what every ten minutes I'll switch teams," said Roberto
"Okay," said Darren.
"How are we going to decide which team you're on first?" asked Wesley
"Rock, paper, scissors," suggested Darren.
"Okay sounds fair enough," said Roberto
"Rock, paper, scissors"
"Oh yeah scissors cut paper," cheered Wesley.
"Oh you just wait," said Darren.
Thus the game began. Roberto caught Harrison's pass. He passed to Wesley. Wesley shot and he scored. Game was tied 50-50. Ring, ring, ring. Roberto's cell phone began ringing.
"Hello, Roberto De Costa, who is this?" he asked.
"Hey Roberto! Long time no see"
"Answer my question," said Roberto.
"I'll give a hint, hey there!" it sounded like twelve people were talking.
"Jaime?" said Roberto
"Yeah it's me!" said Jaime, his voice was no longer that of twelve year old boy, but, that of man.
"So any reason for calling?" asked Roberto.
"I'm coming home" said Jaime, starting sound twelve again.
"Really?" asked Roberto, unsure if he had heard him correctly.
"Yeah really," said Jaime.
"So when do you arrive?" asked Roberto.
"Six o'clock tonight," replied Jaime
"Well good-bye Jaime," said Roberto.
"Good bye," said Jaime.
Roberto turned off his cellphone. He looked around at the younger students.
"Roberto who was that?" asked Wesly.
"An old friend," answered Roberto.
