Luka hums in appreciation as he sips his lemonade, pen and paper covered in unusable lyrics lay forgotten on his desk. Today was the hottest day of summer and a cool breeze was hitting Luka just right. The front door creaks as Marinette walks into their home and a smile spreads on Luka's lips. He and Marinette had gotten married two years ago after she realised that Adrien just wasn't the one for her. The year they got married, they had a baby girl whom they named Emily. Emily took after her mother with her hair and freckles while also receiving her father's blue eyes, earning her the nickname Blueberry.
As Marinette walks into Luka's office, she gives a knowing smile when noticing Luka's writing had halted. "Aren't you supposed to be writing, Mr. Couffaine?" Her tone was playful and light. Luka only smiles and retorts, "Well it seems I may need some creative inspiration, Mrs. Couffaine." He gets up and tries to wrap his arms around his wife but is blocked by her elbows. "Hey! You'll crush the popsicles," Marinette laughs. At the sound of popsicles, Emily barrels into her dad's office, nearly knocking Marinette over. "Pops! Pops!" Emily waves her arms above her head excitedly. Marinette laughs at her daughter's silly display and Luka smiles. "Yes, yes. Your pops are coming right up," Marinette says while unwrapping the popsicles from their brightly colored container.
"One grape for dad, one cherry for mom, and one blueberry for my Blueberry." Marinette hands out the popsicles one by one. Eating their sweet treats, Emily began to go on about her day and everything she did. After a while, she yawned and curled up into her dad's lap, falling asleep immediately. Sharing a knowing look, Marinette and Luka gazed at one another and shared a kiss that was sweeter than usual.
