Brennan awoke to the sound of knocking at her apartment door, she got out of bed. She wore an old white tank-to and old jogging pants. Once she reached the door she opened the door a little to see who it was.
"You didn't look through the peep hole, Bones" Booth said, with a smirk. Brennan rolled her eyes and opened the door wider for him to enter the apartment.
"What are you doing here at two in the morning, Booth?" Brennan asked, already knowing the answer. Booth took one look at Brennan and was almost completely speechelss.
"I couldn't sleep" He said, finding only those words. But they were said almost to himself. He looked around the slightly dark apartment. The only thing lighting up the apartment was the moon. He thought how pretty Brennan was in the moonlight.
"Why not?" She asked, breaking through his thoughts. He looked startled for a second but quickly got himself back together.
"I had something on my mind that's all" He said, partically telling the truth.
'you keep me awake at night. its always you... thoughts of you!' he thought to himself. Brennan sat down on her couch.
"What was on your mind?" Brennan asked, softly as he sat down next to her. Booth looked at her for a moment.
"You..." He said, not meaning to. Brennan looked startled and confused for a second. "I mean..." He was just digging himself deeper and deeper into hell. After a moment Brennan smirked, she leaned over at kissed him, right on the lips.
"In what way?" She asked him, pulling away from the kiss. His mind was blank, he was speechless. She had just kissed him, Temperance Brennan his partner had just kissed him. That smile of hers, her eyes said it all. everything said it all.
Without think, He reached over kissing her hard. she pulled him closer to her, kissing him deeper. Booth pulled away, knowing it was wrong to be doing this. They had a line, and here they were crossing it.
"We… can't do this, Bones." He said, breathing heavy. Brennan looked disappointed. "I'm just going to go." He said, standing up to leave. Brennan grabbed him by the arm to stop him. He stopped and looked over at her.
"We can forget about the line, Booth. Pretend it was never there" She said, then kissed him once again. She wrapped her arms around his neck. He pulled her close, he deepened the kiss. His tongue explored her mouth, tasting her.
This time it was Brennan who pulled back, But not to protest. She pulled back to pull off his jacket, he helped her by pulling it off and throwing it on the couch.
"I" kiss "still" kiss "think" kiss "is" kiss "a" kiss "bad" kiss "idea" Booth said as Brennan started pulling him back toward her bedroom. His body said yes but his mind said no.
"Do you still think that was a bad idea?" Brennan asked Booth teasingly. It had been over two hours and Brennan was sure as hell thankful for what had just happened.
Booth laid there quiet for a moment.
"Nope… that was amazing" He said looking over at her with a grin. Brennan looked over at him tiredly.
"we are amazing" She said with a smirk. "What the hell did we wait so long for?" her question was answered with a kiss by Booth.
"That damn line we drew, Bones. That line" Booth said, laying back down. Brennan smirked for a moment.
"What line?" She asked, with a laugh. That did it, and Booth leaned over and kissed her and they were off for another round.
