I do not own .hack//Legend of twilight...
Background: These were my thoughts a couple of years ago after I read the Manga .hack//Legend of twilight. Yes, I know it's short but it really (To me at least) inspires a deep thoughtfulness on the subject of 'deleting'. If Balmug is not spelled correctly then please tell me, I'm not quite sure of the correct spelling... Well, ON WITH THE (Shortest) FIC (Ever)!!!!
I was reading the manga when a certain sentence that Balmug said hit me. Do we just delete the things that we can't control?
But if we deleted stuff that we can't control then wouldn't life be boring? That's what Hitler's opinion of the Jews was? He didn't like them so He tried to 'delete' them… But isn't that how the Iraq insurgents feel about the American solders and don't the soldiers feel that way about the insurgents? What causes those feelings to appear? Is it the right amount of provocation? Or is it hate and provocation that causes the urge to delete the uncontrollable factors in our lives? Or is it that people are afraid of new things so they want to protect themselves…and so they try to delete it? Is there a different approach to this? What is it? What do you do if you're the person or thing that they want to 'delete'? Do you try to run? But wouldn't that just provoke them further? Do you hide until the seas calm? Or will a whirlpool of hate suck you under? What do you do when you feel the urge to 'delete' some thing? How can you control it? I guess it depends upon the person. Doesn't it? Can this urge be applied to the competing world of businesses? If you don't like the competition do you just delete it and buy it out? If you don't agree with it do you just delete it, even if it could help humanity? Even if it could save the world in the future?
I put down the book and sighed. "Balmug of the Azure Sky…What do you think?" I asked the Manga, but it doesn't talk back…It never will. This Balmug characters musings were very deep. I think I know why adults like dot hack// so much…
"What do you think?" I ask my friend sitting next to me. But she's too busy reading her manga to notice and all she says is a small "Huh?" I ask her again.
Like it? Hate it? Did it make you think hard/ reflect on the matter ? Then tell me!
