"Oppositely charged molecules are attracted to each other."

Fiyero's eye cracked open enough so he could see his stumpy professor parade around the classroom, throwing his arms every which way in exaggeration. While his chemistry professor continued to flail about, Fiyero contemplated on what he just learned.

Oppositely charged molecules are attracted to each other.

Fiyero's gaze found a certain in the second row, dutifully taking notes on their professor's words. A smile made its way to Fiyero's face. He loved how passionate Elphaba was about her studies. Actually, he just loved how passionate she was about everything. She always attacked everything with determination and vigor. She was so different than he was. He was, Fiyero admitted, a party boy. He wasn't worried about his studies or school. Although he wasn't completely dumb, Fiyero wasn't exactly the brightest apple of the bunch. That would be Elphaba. But she wasn't just smart. She was a sweet, fun, compassionate, beautiful person who could look past any flaws to see the true person beneath. He couldn't help but feel that the two were like the oppositely charged molecules his professor was teaching about.

So caught up in his analysis of the creature that frequently visited his dreams that Fiyero failed to notice that class let out and Elphaba stood in front of his desk at the back of the classroom.

"Fiyero? Are you planning to spend your lunch staying in the classroom?" She asked skeptically.

Brought out of his reverie, Fiyero put on a bright smile and looked at Elphaba. "And miss our study time? Not for the world!"

Elphaba rolled her eyes. "Your sarcasm is noted. Now come on, you need a lot of help in Chemistry." Taking hold of his arm, Elphaba hauled Fiyero up and started for the library.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," Fiyero said, grabbing his bag from the floor. "Say, did you see how Professor Zilwiggen was flapping his arms around? I thought he was going to hurt himself, or at least someone else."

Elphaba laughed and nodded. "Why do you think I sat in the second row?"

Fiyero looked over at his girlfriend and smiled. They might be totally opposite in some ways, but he was very glad that oppositely charged molecules were attracted to each other.

Just something I came up with in Biology :) Reviews = love
