Hi guys!
This is the first crossover and Beyblade story I've written, so reviews please! And NO flaming.
I whisked my hand to the right. "Ha!" I shouted triumphantly as I beat my opponent. He fell backwards, dazed, as his Beyblade landed next to him.
I blew my fingers and caught my trusty Beyblade, The Icarus. I smiled at it, giving him a smile silently as I slid it into my pocket.
I had won the Beyblade Championships again.
It wasn't worldwide, not even national, just a small one in our community. I wasn't the oldest Beyblader, or the youngest, but I was, not to be boasting, but it was the truth, the best among them.
This was the third time in a row I had won the Beyblade Championships. It was boring. There wasn't any competition. None of the Beybladers dared to battle with their full strength. What fun was that?
After being handed a small medallion as a prize, I walked home, my golden-brown hair tied into the thick braid floating behind me. The wind whistled through my hair the way I liked it. I smiled.
I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Sora. People sometimes called me Tsubasa, since my Beyblade was light and could soar through the air as if it had wings. If you put those two names together, it meant 'wings in the sky'.
I plopped down onto the sofa at home. I sighed, tossing the tiny medallion from one hand to the other. Suddenly I heard a voice. It wasn't very loud.
"Sora! Tsubasa!"
I stiffened. I hadn't heard that voice before. It was rather faint. I tuned into the voice, blocking the other noises.
"Sora! Free me from the Icarus!"
I immediately slid my Beyblade out of my pocket, spinning it around in all directions to inspect it. The voice came back again.
"Sora! Can you hear me?"
I nodded. "Yes?" I felt silly talking to an imaginary voice, but it was rude not to answer, after all.
"Look at the Icarus!" I spun it so I was facing the top of it. There, in the middle, was a tiny face!
I gasped in shock, almost dropping my Beyblade. "Who are you?"
The face pouted. "Mark Kruger, your cousin! I was imprisoned in your Beyblade a year ago."
"Why?"
"I promised my friend something. He wanted me to enter the Beyblade Championships, but I didn't, so he kinda imprisoned me in there. The Icarus is actually MY Beyblade."
I racked my brains for any kind of connection. Then I remembered something. Three and a half years ago, I had received a package from my cousin, Mark, before he went on that sea voyage. It consisted of the Icarus, a wing shaped locket and hair tie. Enclosed was a letter.
Dear Cousin Sora,
Please take care of the Icarus for me. I don't want to lose him at sea.
Here's a little locket and hair tie for you as a present as well. I hope you like it.
Love,
Your cousin Mark Kruger
I started. I ran into my room and brought out the letter. "Is this the one you wrote?" I aimed the Beyblade at the paper in my hand.
Mark nodded. "Yep."
"So… you're not at sea? You're not on a sea voyage?"
Mark shook his head scornfully. "I was stuck here!"
Was it ok? R & R people! And I need OC submissions, but I'll mention them in the next chapter when you guys understand more! As I said, R & R!
