Tin Man was not my idea does not belong to me and I dont make money off of it
Prologue
Her little sister would not stop fidgeting, not that she blamed five years old the youngest princess of the OZ just did not have the patience to attend the three hour long welcome ceremony for the new palace staff and interns. There were hundreds of them and as each on came forth to be greeted by the royal family and give the job title and anthusiasm Azkadellia found herself joining her little sister in boredom and impatience.
Letting her eyes wander up and down the line of never ending colors and faces she was distracted by her fathers arm nudging hers.
"Look there Az my girl." her daddy nodded in the direction of the front of the line where she saw a man she missed. … No not a man not yet. He looked to be at least six years older then her ten years. Tall with curly hair tamed fiercely into place and hazel eyes gazing off into the distance, Az got the feeling he wasn't quit present. Like he had shut himself into his mind to hide away from the boredom of the ling with to see the crown.
"Daddy, who is he." she whispered quietly so she would not disturb her mother's greetings.
"The young Lord Ambrose Fiyero . He's come to us from the edge of the OZ to start off as you mothers new science advisor." Dg tugged on his arm so the queens consort bent to lift his youngest into his arms.
Azkadellia continue to watch as the teen still form remained unmoving but for his pail lips muttering quickly to him self.
"He's so young though Daddy."
"Yes" he father agreed. "However he also most likely has the single most brilliant mind in all the kingdom. Finished all his studies three years ago at the academy supposed to be into all sorts of gadgets, gizmos, and what not's. Brilliant at self defense too." at this point one or two people in line around him had begun to notice his strange little muttering and far off gaze and had begun to eye and gossip among themselves. Looking critically at the young man that did not look like he belonged in the sea of important looking adults. The line had moved forward some and a person behind his made a rather rude noise and shoved him some. Lord Ambrose as her father called him quit literally stumbled forward into reality and with a flush lifted his chin high into the air with a slight 'I could care less shrug'.
"That wasn't very nice." she whispered.
"No it wasn't" Ahamo agreed with his eldest daughter who has all the promise of being just as fair as her mother when she grew up some more. He looked her over more, Azkadellia herself was rather brilliant. Not where near the geniuses of the young lord but enough so her she most likely would find a good mentor if not friend in the new science advisor if given half the chance. "Great minds often find adversity in those who think their to odd and different."
Az felt a smile tug into place and as if was a magnate it drew the teens eyes and found itself copied on his own face. A wink and a small bow he then gave her made a curious excitement bubble start writhing her stomach. Like thousands of little fairies were buzzing and glittering inside her, because with that brilliant smile and warmth to settle in his eyes he suddenly Azkadellia wasn't so very bored anymore.
