Sun rays were sneaking in the room from the tiny gap between the doors. Inside the room was young girl was sleeping sprawled on the futon without a care in the world. Another door preset in the corner of the room suddenly opened and a young woman stepped through it.

"Hitomi wake up! you are already running late. you sleep any longer you will miss it. Come on Hitomi, school isn't coming home today."

The younger girl slowly opened her eyes. "Nee-san! Please don't bug me. Just five more minutes."

The older girl yanked the blanket off the younger girl and switched on the lights. "Enough, no more excuses. Get out now."

"Jeez, you are so bossy. I am up, happy?"

The younger girl named Hitomi, got out of the futon and went into the bathroom to get dressed for school day, while her older sister folded up the futon, placed it in the cupboard and brought her breakfast. Hitomi got ready quickly and sat down to eat.

"Nee-san! You really are a great cook." The sister smile, "Thanks for the flattery. Stop beating about the bush and tell me what you need?"

Hitomi pouted, "That's so mean, nee-san. I am not praising you because anything. I do it because I love you so much." The elder girl rolled her eyes and said, "I was not born yesterday, Mi-chan. I you better than you know yourself. Just spill it."

"Nee-san, well Neji and I want to go out today after school with some other friends and..." "Don't worry; I will handle mother and father. You go enjoy with your friends." Hitomi smiled widely, hugged her sister "Thanks nee-san, you are the greatest." hugged her and left for school.

"Father, I want to talk to you."

"Yes Megumi, what is it?" The father acknowledged his eldest daughter.

Uchiha Megumi was the eldest daughter to Uchiha Shiroyama, aged 20. She was, in a nutshell the perfect daughter, dutiful, polite, and obedient. Uchiha Shiroyama loved his eldest as much as a daughter could be loved.

Megumi gracefully sat down and said,"Father, some of Hitomi's friends are going out today after school, she told me and I urged her to go. She was worried about your reaction but I assured her that you would consent."

Shiriyama's facial expression changed dramatically. "Megumi I've told you a hundred times, DON'T spoil that girl. She is nothing but trouble, yet you insist on siding with her every single time. I wanted to get rid of her as soon she had turned 15 by marrying her off but you insisted that she should go to high school to get an education. In exchange, you left your own studies," the older Uchiha said angrily.

"Father! Please do not say such things. They are so hurtful to my ears," Megumi replied quietly, hanging her head.

"Leave if you nothing else to say."

Megumi left her father's study dejectedly. It was a usual occurrence. Uchiha Shiroyama was a stern man. He believed daughters to be a burden as son was the true heir to a family. Unfortunately he had no son. It was due to this reason that he had severed all his martial ties with his wife 16 years ago who had not borne him any son. They were married only on paper. Megumi had endured it all with patience but this had ignited a fire of hatred in her heart; against her father and against men in general. She thought all men were like her father. Megumi had left education after high school, in exchange she had asked for her sister to get a education. She wanted her sister to have all happiness and facilities which she could not have.

"Megumi, why do you do this every time?" Megumi's mother, Kana, asked after the scene in the study.

"Mother, she is my sister, my reason of existence, I will never stand to see her suffer." Megumi smiled sadly, "That's what big sisters are for."
