So, this was spawned mostly of my boredom after being the first one to finish my chemistry test. I believe it's called a one shot? It's crazy and weird, and I loved it. It may not be the best it could, because it took a total of maybe...40 minutes to write. I went over it from the general mistakes and what-not. The ending didn't turn out quite what I was aiming for, but it'll do, I s'pose.
I guess I should say that I don't own Runescape, eh? Well then. I don't own Runescape.
"This is a good place to build my house!" One Runescapian declared to an -almost- empty clearing in the forest. Almost. "Just got to get rid of that one tree..." Lo and behold, a lone, normal, nothing-out-of-the-ordinary tree sat nearly in the middle.
So the Runescapian took his trusty steel axe from his backpack and walked up to the tree. "Hehe...I need this spot little tree. Sorry." With a grin, he started chapping at the tree, and soon felled it. Feeling happy, he turned to his backpack and started taking wood out. He then thought that he could use the extra wood from the tree he just cut.
But when he turned back around,
something was amiss. There was the tree laying on the ground where
he had left it, but...
"Omigosh!! The tree grew back!"
The eyes of the Runescapian goggled, and then narrowed. "Fine.
I'll just chop you down again!" And so he did. And took the wood
from both trees he had cut
and added it to what he had.
He turned around again. His eyes nearly popped out of his head. The tree was back again. He glared at the insistent hindrance. Once again, he cut it down and turned it into logs. This time, though, the tree grew back right before his very eyes.
Nearly knocked backwards by his surprise, the now angry Runescapian muttered darkly under his breath. "Cursed thing..." he finally said. And chopped it down again.
And the tree grew back again. This went on all day long, and well into the night.
When he could work no more, he sat down huffing and out of stamina. The clearing was littered with the felled trunks and branches of the pest of a tree. The Runescapian sighed in defeat.
"I guess this cursed persistent tree isn't so ordinary after all..."
There you have it. Very short, huh? It looks longer when written in ink on lined paper. P I wouldn't mind reviews. I like to know what I've done wrong, and what to work on.
