So I was nervous about an upcoming job interview and asked my friends on deviantART to give the names of two random gym leaders for me to write short pieces about. One of my friends suggested these two, so I decided to give it a whirl. This is the result. Hope you like!
By the way, this is set before Pokemon White starts.
Pokemon belongs to Tajiri Satoshi-sensei and Nintendo.

With her huge purple hair done up in such an outlandish fashion, the girl stood out like a sore thumb. People stared at her as she walked through the streets of Pewter City, but she paid them no mind. The dark-skinned girl was focused on trying to find the gym. "I still don't see why Drayden had to make me go all the way to Kanto," she grumbled to herself, looking around. Her Axew poked its head out of her ridiculous hairdo and glanced at her trainer. "I can learn plenty about the way gyms are set up from Elesa or Burgh or someone..."
"Axyew yew!"
"Huh? What is it, Axew?" The small dragon pointed ahead of her at a large building with (what she guess was) Kanto's official Pokemon League symbol."Wow. The first Kanto gym."
She stepped forward, walking through the automatic sliding doors. "I'm gonna venture a guess and say that this is a Rock-Type gym," she muttered to Axew, examining a dirt stain that had suddenly appeared on her cream-colored sleeve.
"That's correct!" She jumped as a man appeared at the other end of the room. Dark-skinned like herself, his hair was done up in spikes, and his orange shirt and camo green pants had flakes of dust on them. "I am Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader!"
"Nice to meet you, Brock," she said with a grin. "I'm Iris, from Opelucid City in the Unova region!"
"Unova? ... wow. You came a long way."
"Yep! Mayor Drayden wanted me to see how gyms from other regions were laid out so that I'd have ideas for my own Dragon gym."
At this, Brock chuckled. "You? A gym leader? Don't you think you're a bit young?"
"Hey! I'll have you know that I'm the world's best dragon master!" she rebutted.
"Axyew yew ax!" the Pokemon in her hair agreed.
"We'll just see about that." He suddenly struck a battle stance, pulling a PokeBall out of his pocket. "If you can't beat me, you don't have what it takes to be a gym leader."
"Fine then! I challenge you!"
"My rock-hard willpower is evident even in my Pokémon. My Pokémon are all rock hard, and have true-grit determination. You're going to challenge me knowing that you'll lose? That's the Trainer's honor that compels you to challenge me. Fine, then! Show me your best!"
"I will! Go, Axew!" The Pokemon leapt out of her hair and onto the battle field.
"Graveler! You're up!" Brock threw his PokeBall high into the air, releasing a gray boulder with four arms.
Iris smirked. "An actual Kanto gym battle... and I'm going to win!"
