I've decided to come back and begin writing once again (it's been a long two years away from FFN), and School Sweethearts is the one I'm going to pick up first! I'm so glad to be back guys!

DAY ONE

Attending a school is New York is difficult, especially being so close to my home away from home. I've always told myself to go back to Camp Half-Blood and see my family again, but of course, why would I? There are things there that I can't ever be reminded of. It still hurts too much. Chiron has been sending messages my way, and he says everyone misses me, and that all my friends are there, training the new campers. As I picked up my most recent collection of mail, a small letter on thin parchment catches my eye. Of course, he send me one every month.

'My Dearest Piper,

Hello, again. I do hope you are managing, and that your out-of-camp education is working well for you. Do tell me where things are going with that; I'd love to know how mortals learn.

I wonder why you never come back to Camp Half-Blood. You live awfully close by, it wouldn't hurt to stop at the Farm and speak with me and Dionysius? Your friends are here, as well. Leo Valdez is instructing our mechanics-in-training, Clarrise La Rue is here training her half-siblings for Capture the Flag, and even Thalia Grace makes a habit of visiting us every few months.

But you, Piper, we have not seen your lovely face in four years. Why is that?

Chiron.'

I flopped onto my creaky bed, groaning. It sounded completely pathetic if I replied back and said it was because of Jason Grace.

Sighing and taking a nice nap for a couple hours, I finally dragged myself out of my bed and shouldered my bag, cursing as I kneed my suitcase waiting beside my door.

It was ten days until Christmas Break, and I had packed all my stuff for a surprise visit to my Dad's house. And as I walked out into the campus after I had packed, someone at the coffee cart caught my eye.

His hair was a bright blonde, reflecting off the sunshine beating down on the campus grounds. He was bent over the truck and I watched as he rubbed his hands together while preparing someone's order. I couldn't place who he reminded me of the time. Until he looked up and he practically reached out and smacked me across the face from fifty feet away.

My throat closed up and I struggled to breathe, my inside churning and knotting together in ways I don't understand. This feeling…that must really be him.

I shook my head and rubbed my face with my mittens. It can't be him. There are millions of people in New York; of all people that boy can't be him. Not my Jason Grace. I shuddered at the thought of calling him mine. Geeze Piper, that was years ago. He left you for someone else.

My mind was blank and my feet began to approach the big green truck; I had no choice now. I could not back down. I squinted up at the truck as the sun hit right behind it and peeked into my eyes.

Jason leaned against the open counter and faced me. "Hello welcome to Star—Piper." His eyes widened and he stood up. He took a deep breath and turned back to me. "Wow…Is that you?"

I smiled. "Yeah, it's me." I smiled half-heartedly. I approached him as he clocked out for a break and exited the back of the truck. "Hey."

Jason grinned so wide I nearly fell for him again.

No, Piper, stop that.

I mentally challenged myself as he said another greeting and spoke about being so glad to see me again. I blushed and cuddled into my scarf. "I missed you too! It's been—what, four years? Come here, give me a hug!" I exclaimed, throwing my arms around his neck and standing on my toes.

"I've missed you too, Pipes!" he said pulling me in closer. I breathed in his scent and I nearly cried. He smelled of sunshine and apples and he made me miss the long summers we spent together. After pulling away, I studied his eyes. I was lost in a strong cloud of electrifying blue, a gasp held tight in my mouth. He stared back at me, a smile creeping up on his face again.

Jason soon said, as if reading my mind, "I've always loved your eyes. They're like a kaleidoscope. So colorful, beautiful…and unexpected. I missed that about you, Pipes."

I smiled wider, planting feet back on the ground and tilting my head to look up at him. "You really missed me, eh?"

He scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, well, you know." His face had flushed to a bright red.

Jason looked down again. I adjusted my bag. I replied, "Jason-"

"Yeah?" He looked back up at me.

"I want to know what brings you here, what you're studying. I haven't seen you since… you know. "

He didn't look me in the eyes. "Well, I thought that Camp Half-Blood brought too many memories back to me. And I wanted to go to school."

I laughed. "I can't believe that you're here for the exact same reason as me."

Jason laughed with me. "What? That you would hope to find me again?"

I talked back. "How dare you, Jason Grace! I came here to study medicines, mind you." I pursed my lips and swatted him with the back of my hand. I giggled and gazed back at his face, noticing a longing look in his eyes and a solemn frown. My eyebrows knitted together in concern. "Hey, what's wrong?"

Jason looked away. "Look, I-"

My phone rang. Really? "Hold on a sec. I'm so sorry, Jason," I turned around a walked a little bit away. "Hello?" I asked.

"Hey, Piper."

"Dad!"

"Hey, you'll be home for the end of the year, right? I have a surprise for you!"

My smile faltered. "Aw, Dad, you found out my surprise! Yeah, I'm coming home!"

"Great! That's wonderful, Pipes! When are you leaving for the airport?"

"Uh," I double checked the sticky note in my jacket pocket. "Friday evening."

"That's wonderful! Perfect timing! I'll see you Saturday. Be safe."

"Yeah, Dad."

"Love you so much!"

"I love you, too." I said, turning back around to continue talking to Jason. He was folding up his work apron and stuffing it in his backpack. I walked back over to him. "Hey, what are you doing?"

Jason looked back up in surprise. "Oh, you're done with your call," He stood back up to his five-freaking-inches-taller-than-me height. "I just finished my shift, and it's 2:00. Want to go somewhere later after class?"

I was flustered. "Uhh…" I cleared my throat. "Uhm… ahh…?"

Jason looked a bit hurt. "You don't want to go?"

"Sorry, I'm so stupid. That's not what I mean-"

"It's okay."

I looked back up at him, his eyes bright eyes showing compassion. "No, Jason, it's really not," I said, starting to walk with him. "I've been so distant fromyou and obviously we both have been wanting to see eachother and I've been here at school, so close to camp, and I haven't done anything to do about it."

"Piper, please. It's alright." He interuptted.

"Jason Grace you listen to me!" I yelled. "It is not alright because clearly I have missed you and I've dismissed the feeling, but I love you and I can't just get this right! I finally found you and I'm so—so difficult that I'm rejecting you in my own awkward way!"

Jason stopped. I covered my mouth. Oh my gods. I shouldn't have said that out loud. Did I say that out loud? Jason looked confused. "What?"

"Jason, I-"

"Say that again."

"…"

"Pipes." He said, very sternly. His bright blue eyes filled with demand. Unfortunately, now way out here. I've already said too much. You're freakin' screwed, Pipes. Great job.

"…Yes," I replied, taking in a shaky breath. "I never stopped loving you," I said, suddenly interested in my dirty old boots. " Ever since you left camp for-"

"Reyna." Jason laughed. "Wow, that's fantastic."

I looked back up in a complete surprise. Glaring at him, I pointed my finger to his chest. "What did you say? Am I hearing you clearly?"

"You think I left you for Reyna!" he laughed, wiping his eyes. "Reyna's not my girlfriend! She's never been my girlfriend! I never thought about her like that."

I stepped a little closer. "Really?" I was completely flushed, I had a dumb smile on my face and I struggled to hold in a giggle.

I just confessed my love to this boy and he thinks its hilarious. I should be pissed at him for it, but it's adorable.

"Yeah." Jason said, his stupid grin plastered on his face. I've never seen him smile like that. It seems more like Percy's style. But I like it on him.

I replied, "That's great because-"

"Pick you up at five, tomorrow." Jason said smoothly, winking. I stared at him walk away in awe. "Meet me here!" he called back.

I can't believe that boy. I really can't.

Shouldering my bag, I yelled, "Of course!" smiling to myself and chuckling, I turned on my heel paced back to my apartment, a smile on my face the whole time back.

Like it? Dislike it? Tell me once you review!

I'm really not very good on Jiper. That's kinda why I added in the whole 'stupid grins are Percy's thing'. I noticed that I really just wrote a Percabeth fic, and changed the names :/So please give me a little info on how they really should be acting. Thanks so much!
