A/N: This is a true story. It happened to my mom so I added in Wally and traded the evil neighbor and my mom for Ace and Kuki. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own the plot and the memory but not the show Codename: Kids Next Door.
"Hey Kuki! I gotta show ya something." Ace yelled to Kuki. Kuki reluctantly walked away from Wally. Sector V and Ace were on a field trip to Arizona and they were going to see the Grand Canyon. However, the bus that took them from their hotel to the Canyon broke down. Abby, Nigel and Hoagie were watching the mechanic to make sure that he wasn't trying to blow up the bus and destroy their stash of candy under the seats.
Kuki was with Wally. They were talking about how lame the Toilenator was when Ace beckoned Kuki.
"You see, Kuki, see that cactus over there? That one cactus? There are no other cacti near it. It gets so lonely some times. The cactus wants someone to give it a hug." Ace said. He was holding back laughter.
"Oh, no! That poor cactus! I should give it a hug!" Ace fell to the ground in a fit of laughter as Wally walked over.
"What's goin' on 'ere?" He grumbled in his accent. Just as Ace wiped away a stray tear, Kuki screamed out.
"Kuki!" Yelled Wally. He ran towards her and saw several scratches on her arms, neck, legs and hands. He also saw about twenty needles still stuck in her arms. She had fallen on the ground after pulling away from the thorny plant.
"Come with me, Kooks, and I'll get ya better. I promise." Wally said sweetly as he helped Kuki to her feet. He supported her with his arm around her waist. With his other arm, he knocked Ace to the ground. They walked off, leaving a shocked Ace on the ground.
"Teacher person! Kuki got hurt!" Wally screamed.
The teacher looked at Kuki and said to Wally, "Get her on the bus. Have her sit down. There's a first aid kit next to the driver's seat. Get the thorns out while I check on the engine."
Wally nodded and picked Kuki up to get her on the bus. A small fan was blowing semi-cool air. Wally put Kuki down on the front seat and grabbed the kit. He got a pair of tweezers and started to pluck out some thorns. Kuki whimpered but didn't stop him. She explained to him what Ace told her. She swore that she could see fire in his eyes. Like he was so mad at Ace that he would kill him if he had the chance.
Wally had gotten all but one thorn out of Kuki. There was one left that was rather deep into her inner elbow. She closed her eyes as tears dripped down her face. Wally quickly pulled it out. He rubbed Hydrogen Peroxide on the cuts. He kissed the one of her elbow before he cleaned it. He rubbed the cleaning agents on the rest of her cuts then got out band-aids for the deeper cuts.
"All better." He said proudly. Kuki still had her eyes closed with tears still dripping out. He wiped away her tears and kissed her eyelids.
"Do you feel all right?" He asked her.
"Yes. Thank you, Wally. Thank you so much!" She squealed as she wrapped her arms around him. She gave him a kiss on the cheek as she pulled away.
A/N: Awwww! The fluffiness is over-powering me! When my mom lived in Arizona when she was 5, a neighbor told her a cactus was lonely. She hugged it. There was no Wally to help her. Thanks mom for the inspiration! Oh, and the fire ant hill in our backyard would like a hug too!!! Heehee
