I wrote this as part of 'Maybe', but as yet have not found an easy place to put it in, and so decided it might possibly be able to venture out into the big wide world on it's own, as a teeny-tiny drabble-y thing. Criticism greatly appreciated as always, especially ways I could improve. :)
She screamed, she shouted, she ranted. Her eyes blazed as she saw right through his character, seeing all of his flaws with perfect clarity. He tilted his head to one side, raising one arrogant eyebrow. It seemed to infuriate her yet more, he noted with slight amusement. It was all a façade though, a mask to hide the pain he felt inside. Snivellus. The wedge between them. Why did she never take James' side, always his? She paused for breath and he realised he had been so taken with the flush rising in her cheeks and the animation in her eyes and the disarray of her flaming hair that he had not heard a word.
'Evans, go out with me?'
The screaming started again, his heart cried and laughed. Maybe one day… no, maybe not.
