"The sweetest of all sounds is that of the voice of the woman we love."
~Jean de la Bruyere
"I'm so exhausted…" Rin sighed as he plopped down on the couch next to you. He just came back from another day of being taken out to deal with more demons. You honestly didn't see how he was able to get through the day.
He had to get up early for his normal classes, stay later for cram school, and sometimes even take extra time to do whatever he needed to do as an exorcist. And at the end of the day, he got to go to sleep just to wake up in the morning and do it all over again. If you were in his shoes, you'd be too exhausted to even bother moving by the time you came home. Yet, despite how exhausted he said he was, he always still seemed full of way more energy than he should have. You knew he was the son of Satan, but the guy had to get tired sometime. Just what the hell was wrong with him?
"Exhausted? You still look like you could still go run 10 miles." you said.
"Okay, well I'm not exhausted, but I'm more tired than usual." he responded.
"How are you not passed out at this point? You do so much during the day, and you do it pretty much all week."
Rin looked up at you into your bright (E/C) eyes.
"Well, I guess it's because I come home every day knowing I get to hear your voice and see your face as soon as I walk in." Rin replied, giving you one of his bright grins with those pointy teeth of his.
"Is it really THAT great to come home to my voice and face at the end of the day?" you questioned.
"Of course." he said, smiling even more.
"You're such a dork." you said, shoving him off the couch and smiling.
"Yeah, I know."
