First Impressions

I

I met you for the first time
Under the bright midday sunshine
Even then, you dazzled my eyes
And nothing else I saw, but you.

Such intensity, such smile
Such diamonds in your eyes
Life was certainly not too much for you

I saw you for the first time
When stars denied the pitch-black sky
Even then, you lit up the entire night
And nothing else I wanted, but you.

Sealed a fate, bound a life
What a decision in one night
Just how did you come to enchant me this much?

II

I met you for the first time
The day I remembered until now
Back then, you touched my bare heart
And no one else came closer, but you.

Such confidence, such pride
Such passion in your eyes
Life was certainly not enough for you

I saw you for the first time
The day I couldn't and wouldn't forget
Back then, you opened my eyes
And no one else I cared of, but you.

Sealed a fate, bound a life
What a decision in one night
Just how did you come to enchant me this much?

Author Notes:
I believe some explanation is due, so here it is (with spoilers for the whole series).
The first part is Seishirou's POV; the second is Subaru's.
They met for the first time at the train station, but Seishirou saw Subaru for the first time at the time they made the bet, while Subaru 'saw' Seishirou for the first time when the bet was revealed. The last verses of each part, respectively, refer to Seishirou's marking Subaru as his prey, and Subaru's decision to hunt him down (and here it gets to X).
