"Have you ever thought about how ironic life really is?"

"Well…no. I basically figure that if I don't think about it, I won't believe it. I enjoy living in a constant state of denial."

"Shockingly that doesn't surprise me."

"But I'm guessing that you do think about it."

"Oh yes, it's one of my most frequented thoughts. I was thinking about it just then, when I asked you about it."

"Well one could only suppose so."

"Think about it, life. You could be dying, or dead even, while someone's celebrating the birth of a child. One life leaves, another enters. That happens every second. Right now someone is dying. But a baby is being born now too. Should you be happy or sad?"

Sirius looked over at his best friend Drew. She sighed and looked over at him as well.

"See? It's so ironic."

"…and morbid! God Drew, sometimes I'm afraid of what goes on inside that head of yours."

She chuckled.

"Aren't we all?"

He rolled his eyes. They were currently at her house, lying on the soft grass in her backyard to look up at the stars.

"Not a moment goes by when you aren't being sarcastic, morbid, or moody."

"I know, don't you love me?"

He scoffed.

"You wish."

She gasped and clutched her heart.

"You broke my heart, Mr. Black!"

He had always wanted to use a quote he had heard from one of those muggle movies. This was the perfect time.

"Frankly my dear," he said, "I don't give a damn."

She laughed.

"Good old Rhett. Sometimes I really feel for him, the poor man. Scarlett truly did love him, but she only realized after he gave up on her. He'll never know how she really feels."

"Oh my God! I don't even know what you're talking about and I'm sad! Why must you turn everything into another conversation about life and how dismal it is! You're depressing me!" He exclaimed with a laugh.

She closed her eyes as a small smile formed on her lips.

"Well I'm glad someone finally knows how I feel."
