Okay, I took a ballad from Mai Kuraki again, lol! She has pretty nice ballads, actually. At least I like them better than her happy songs.
(The lyrics and translation are on kiwi-musume, by the way)
This story is pretty sad, and I also put a kind of flashback in it. This is basically the story of the lyrics, so I had to put it in here. Listen to the song, it will almost make you cry!
Well, just read this story, please! Pretty please??

It was night as May sat in the big tent built up for the contest she was going to compete in the next day.

The air was filled with laughter, and everyone seemed excited. Everyone except May.

Despite the fact that she was sitting right within the cheerful crowd, her mood was down.

All she could think of was the last conversation she had had with Drew. The conversation where he had told her that it would be better for him to travel alone. And although this had hurt May very badly, she had smiled at him and told him it was okay to go on his own, but but that he could change his mind whenever he wanted, and travel with her.
With all her acting ability she had convinced him not to think of her, that he should do what he needed to do to become a better coordinator.

But behind her words, she had wished that he changed his mind and took her with him.
She missed him, and there was nothing she wanted more than seeing him now.
She was not as strong as she had made Drew believe...

May was pulled out of her dim thoughts by the cracking noises of the fireworks that had been started to celebrate the beginning of the festival. Gazing up to the sky she could see many lights flying through the dark, but to her they all just seemed to be glittering sadly without Drew.

Vividly she remembered the day where the two of them had first met (and where Drew had teased her to no end), and the firework that had been held then.

She looked around the crowd again, and her heart nearly skipped a beat: A green-haired boy was standing a few meters away from her. Could it be...?
But then he turned around, and May's heart sank again. It was not Drew.

Suddenly the tears started overflowing in her eyes.

Maybe it was the atmosphere that reminded her of him so much, and the hope of seeing him here that had just been disappointed, and now led to this outburst. No, honestly she had felt like crying ever since they had parted and now simply couldn't suppress it any longer. It hurt so much it felt like her heart was breaking out of her. Why did he have to go alone? Was she such a nuisance for him?

May decided that it was not good for her to stay in there much longer, so she left and headed straight for the pokecenter. In her room she she took off her clothes and went to bed, although she knew that sleep wouldn't overcome her very soon.

There she lay, wide awake, and prayed to the stars that they might take her feelings to Drew.

Wow, that was sooo sad, right? I scribbled this in my notebook at university in a break- I hope that does not say anything about the quality... xD No, I changed some things when I typed it, so.
Please review if you have some time! Thanks!!
Hey, the next one will already be the last! Wow...
