"Another year come and gone…" said Slade Wilson, as he put on his night cap and climbed into bed. "Time to start killing again, come morning."

He lay in bed for about thirty minutes, before beginning to drift off to sleep. The door burst open, and he awoke to an apparition of Wintergreen, covered in chains, floating above him.

"Wintergreen, didn't I just kill you again?" asked Slade.

"You may have slain my body, good sir, but my soul has been lingering on with this burden, far too great for me to have done anything to you, until now… I was a willful accomplice of yours, old friend, and because of which I wear these chains as punishment… Tonight, you will be visited by three ghosts, in hopes you will learn from the errors of your ways! The clock sounds, the first approaches, and I must be on my way!"

The apparition faded, and everything went silent.

"Damnit, maybe Ravager was right about those adrenaline shots after all…"

"You mean me, dad?"

Slade turned his head to see the ghost of Grant floating above him.

"You were always hard to please! But fear not, I'm the ghost of Christmas Past, and I'm here to show you all the past Christmas' you spent with your family… There, how did you like that?"

"I didn't see a thing."

"Exactly… Well, I will be on my way, for the second approaches!"

"What the hell do I have to do to get some shut eye?"

Loud laughter came from outside the room. Slade got up, grabbed a katana, and walked towards the noise, which came from down the stairs. As he slowly approached the living room, he saw that it was filled with gifts, and that Addie was dressed as Santa Claus!

"Get it, honey? I'm the ghost of Christmas Present!"

"You never were one much for words, or good ones anyway." Slade said.

"Come with me. I will show you the Christmas party you are missing right now!"

She snapped her fingers, and they appeared in Titans Tower.

"While you try to sleep, your daughter struggles to fit in with these other misfits, in hopes she will amount to something better than you…"

"Let's cut the crap…" Slade said. "Let me guess, the next ghost will be Joey, but mute again with a giant black cloak, right?"

"Yep."

"I get it. Let's get this over with so I can finally get some sleep. Make me appear before their eyes!"

Addie snapped her fingers, and everyone turned towards Slade. Some clenched their fists and got ready for battle.

"Dad!"

"It's ok, Rose. I come in peace… I realize how "horrible" I've been, and I want to make it up to you by reforming the Titans team, and become its new leader!"

"Oh, daddy!" said Rose, as she got up and hugged Slade. A tear of joy rolled down her cheek.

"Isn't this a bad idea?" Dick asked.

"Hey, give it a chance!" Donna said. "After all, it's Christmas!"

They all laughed together, and lived happily ever after.

Happy Holidays everyone!
