In his house, Iroh sat near the window while looking down the dark street of the Outer Ring. Seeing that there was no one, Iroh sighed and took another sip of his tea cup. The door of his room opened and Ursa walked into their room.

"Still waiting for Zuko?"

Iroh nodded as he continued looking down the street, expecting his son. Ursa sat next to him.

"Dear, don't worry. Even if Zuko couldn't come today, I am sure that he will send a card or something."

Iroh looked at his beloved wife and smiled. "Yeah, because he has his duties as the Fire Lord…" Iroh looked at outside before continuing. "He will be seventeen this year, right?"

Ursa nodded and placed her head on Iroh's shoulder. "Yes, time sure flies fast. I can still remember the day when Zuko was born, you ran into the midwifery office after heard Zuko's cry. It's just like yesterday."

"It can't be helped. Because of what happened during Lu Ten's birth, I couldn't help but worry the same thing would happen to you." Realizing that he has changed to wrong topic, Iroh quickly went back to talking about their precious son.

"After one and a half of year, he finally knew how to talk. He called me father for the first time. I was so happy that I played with him the whole day just to hear him say it."

"Then Ozai found out and taught Zuko to call you Uncle. You became a so-called uncle ever since then."

"Our family was always together. You, Lu Ten, Zuko and I. Until…" Iroh stopped and looked at his tea cup. "Our son… A lot of harsh things happened in his life…" His voice turned sadly. "Even that you wished for me to protect him, I wasn't able to do much."

Ursa placed her head on Iroh's shoulder, smiled. "That's not true. You were the one who helped him become like today. Zuko must be very proud of you."

Iroh smiled as he slowly stroked his wife's hair before turned to look down the street. And then, a soft voice came through his room's door.

"That's not all, mom." The door opened and Zuko walked in with tear on his face. He looked at Iroh and spoke softly. "He means a lot to me, a mentor, a comrade, an uncle…" Zuko smiled. "But more than that, he is my father." The son raised a tea bag. "Happy father's day, dad."
