It had been snowing for two weeks now and the pile of books on Elphaba's bedside table was bigger than it had ever been. She wasn't fond of going out while it snowed – wet socks didn't agree with her allergy to water. She'd be all right for as long she had her books, but as she got closer to the last page of the last one she had brought from the library and the snow didn't give any signs of stopping, Elphaba started getting worried.

Just as she started considering how she could get to the library through the snow, the door was opened by a white, pink and blonde little storm. Glinda's clothes were dripping and her cheeks were pink from the wind, but she had a big smile on her face.

"Look at you all curled up on your blankets… like a burrito!" she let out one of her high-pitched laughs. Elphaba rolled her eyes and put her book on the table as a smile made its way to her face. "The guys want to go out for hot chocolate, do you want to come?"

"I'm snowed in… And in the middle of a book."

"You're always in the middle of a book." said the little one, taking off her coat and throwing it at Elphaba. It was a usual game between the two of them, but this time her coat was wet and the girl couldn't keep from groaning in pain. When Glinda saw what she had done, she ran to Elphie, yanking the coat away and drying the girl's skin with her hands.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry, I keep forgetting how bad it is!"

When the coat landed on her, a thousand curses went through Elphaba's mind. But as she looked at Glinda's concerned face, she couldn't stay mad.

"That's okay, I'm okay." She held Glinda's wrist to stop her frantic moves and looked her in the eyes.

"Come out with me. I promise I won't let one single snowflake touch you." They were curled up on the not-so-big bed of the dorm room and Elphie could feel Glinda's breath as she talked. "And we can stop at the library to get you some more books on the way back."

Elphie looked at Glinda's golden locks falling on her face and felt the warmth of their skins together, then looked out the window.

"But…" she bit her lip and tried not to sound like a kid. "But it's cold outside."

She knew she had made a mistake as soon as Glinda started smiling. Elphaba tried to stop her, but the girl was already singing and dancing – awkwardly, as she was still half lying on the bed – to Baby, It's Cold Outside.

"No! No no no no no, shut up!" Elphie half laughed, half asked, but Glinda kept on going – "Say was that a wink? No cabs to be had out there".

"Shut up!" she said again and, knowing there would be no other way to stop her, Elphie pulled Glinda closer and kissed her. Glinda tried to keep singing and Elphie held her tighter, both laughing while their hands held each other's and their legs intertwined.

When Glinda stopped singing, Elphaba pulled away.

"This song got something right though. My sister is getting suspicious."

"Then it got two, cause you lips do look delicious."

Elphie raised one eyebrow and half smiled as Glinda laid her head on her shoulder.

"Do you still want to go out for chocolate?"

The blonde girl took a peak at the window, and then looked at Elphie.

"Nah, it is cold outside and it's pretty warm in here."
