Blaine paced back and forth, trying not to draw attention to himself. His shoes made a soft sound on the hospital waiting room carpet. Where was Kurt? He'd called him at work 30 minutes ago. Traffic must be terrible, Blaine thought. Kurt would never miss out on something this important. Sitting down in a not-so-comfortable chair, Blaine thought of every little event that lead up to this day Kurt had spyed on The Warblers. Blaine's kiss with Rachel at her party. Their duet at Regionals that one year. But this next one was one of his favorites: their first kiss in school.

But this was Blaine's favorite by far, and it hadn't even really happened here. Their little girl was going to be here in less than an hour. Blaine's hand rubbed his own neck. Even though he was estatic beyond belief, he couldn't help but feel petrified. What if he failed her? What if he screwed up terribly? He only had one chance to raise this little girl the right way. It hasn't even started yet, he thought, and it's already the hardest thing I've ever done.

A door opened and Kurt came in speed-walking. Blaine stood up and hugged him tight, breathing in his scent. "Any news since you called me?" Kurt said after a quick kiss. "None." Blaine replied sitting back down. His legs were bouncing up and down, a sign that he was nervous. "Sweetie, why are you so nervous?" Kurt asked, his hand holding Blaine's leg down. He looked at Kurt and said "What if I screw this up? Like really, screw it up." Kurt looked into Blaine's eyes, smiling. "Babe, if anyone can do this, you can. Remember when you told me to have courage?" He nodded, letting Kurt finish. "You saved me. If I hadn't met you, I would've been lost. I never would have found you and we wouldn't be sitting here right now waiting for her to open her beautiful eyes." Blaine sat there, a smile making it's way onto his face.

"If she has any problem, she'll know she can come to you. That's one of the things that made me fall in love with you, babe." Kurt held Blaine's hand, hoping that he knew he'd be a great dad. Blaine squeezed Kurt's hand, and leaned in for a quick, reassuring kiss. They'd managed through so much together. They'd make it through this too.

As they broke away, a nurse walked into the waiting room. "We have good news. Your surrogate's delievered, and your little girl is here. And she has your curls Mr. Anderson."
