"Have you ever been in love before?" She cuddled up to his side, resting her head on his chest. She wasn't sure she wanted to hear the answer to her question.
"Yes," he hesitated a little. Just enough for her to notice. She squeezed her eyes shut, suddenly feeling hurt by this. He trailed his fingertips over her skin lightly as he felt her tighten.
