Phineas had always loved the wind. The freedom of its fluid movements and the change it always brought with it ignited flames from deep within him. And, for better or worse, the winds of change would blow his life on a new course, changing his life forever.

Phineas sat in terminal, waiting for his flight to finally arrive after showing up hours early for his flight. The books he had bought were finished; his phone turned off to conserve what little battery he had left; and the magazines on the rack all focused on celebrities instead of mechanics, cars or sports. Simply put Phineas was bored. He fidgeted in his chair, constantly looking from his watch to the departure board, hoping that it would change from "DELAYED" to "ON TIME". Coming to terms with the fact that this got him nowhere, he stared at the window. Though the clock read 1:30 in the afternoon, the sky showed a darkness usually reserved for the midnight hour. Gusts of wind bent trees off in the distance, snapping branches and changing the landscape.

As he stared into the abyss that lay eerily close, he failed the notice the reflection that approached his own. The slim and curvaceous figure with long hair contrasted his larger, construction worker-esque build gained from years of Big Ideas and short, scruffy hair.

"Whatchya doin' looking out the window?" Her voice was high pitched and innocent, showing the woman's young age.

Instantly Phineas perked up spinning around in his seat at the familiar phrase. "Isa.." he began before finishing his turn. "Oh sorry I thought you were someone else." He corrected himself as he rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.

The woman in front of him certainly wasn't his childhood friend whom he had left so many years ago. While Isabella had black hair, this girl had dirty blonde locks currently pulled into a ponytail. She wore a tight, low cut shirt and tight jeans in contrast to Isabella's usual sundress. Her eyes were a light, icy blue as opposed to Isabella's dark blue ones. A small number of freckles surrounded the thinned lipped smile. A country girl glow seemed to flow from her, though Phineas couldn't tell why. It wasn't until she sat down that Phineas noticed that she was almost as tall as he was.

"You look familiar to me, but you're not from around here, are you?" she inquired.

"No, no I'm not. I'm from Danville. But how could you tell?" Phineas answered surprised.

"Well for one thing, you're dressed in shorts in January. Nobody but people from up North wears summer clothes in Orlando this time of year. Otherwise I guess it's just a woman's intuition I guess." She said with a smile.

"Well then, that's a pretty good intuition you have there." He offered out his hand with a smile. "I'm Phineas Flynn."

"I'm Jessica, Jessica Bell."

Outside, as if by magic, the harsh winds of the storm died down as the sun came out. The winds of change replaced by a new beginning.
