Here's You Are My Medicine When You're Close To Me

Gray looked up from his documents towards a little girl with baby blue almond shaped eyes and long wavy cyan hair, he smiled at the child, giving her a pat on the head. It had been almost fifteen years since he, his mother, and his sister had left Nagoya for the small city of Lexington, Kentucky in the United States. His uncle Murdoc passed away about five years ago, that caused Gorillaz to end, it said so in the news.

"Wot yew need, Sharron?" he asked the little girl as she replied.

"Mam says aintie Arisu, and granny are comin' to visit. Y'all best be gettin' ready, daddy." The little girl replied in a thick southern accent, Grayson's wife was from the bayou of Louisiana, so their daughter picked up her accent. Gray just smiled at his little daughter.

"Awright, Sharron, tell yer mum I'll wait on them." Sharron gave a small nod before walking towards the kitchen. Turning back to his records, he flipped through them, being a business man was tiring, but coming home to his family made his day all worthwhile. His little sister was starting medical school soon, her dream is to become a small animal veterinarian. He knew she'd do well, she was a smart girl. The doorbell dinged as Gray lifted himself up from his desk, walking towards the door, opening it, his mother squeezed him into a hug, as his sister joined.

"Brother! We hath missed thee!" Gray just smiled.

"I er…don't live that far, jus' a few blocks." His mother just gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"It feels far to me." She looked down and smiled.

"Konnichiwa, Sharron!" the Japanese woman smiled, giving her granddaughter a hug, "How are you?"

"I'm mighty well, thank ya, granny." Sharron broke the hug, "Mam! Granny and aintie Arisu's here!" A woman with long flowing copper colored hair and baby blue eyes walked from a room, giving a small smile.

"Hello, Suzuki, Arisu. Dinner's almost ready, I reckon y'all are hungry?"

"Yes, arigato, Heather!" the Asian woman replied as her daughter followed

"Aye. Gramercy, Heather. Thou art so gracious to us. I simply must thank thee."

"No need to thank, Arisu. Y'all are family." Gray gave a small smile, family…
