Goku watched Sanzo in surprise as the monk slammed down on the table with his fists and stood, stalking out of the room. If Goku hadn't understood what was going on, he would've felt hurt.

"What the hell!" Gojyo yelled in response to the loud disturbance.

"Shut up cockroach," Goku muttered, pushing his not-yet empty plate back and standing as well. Hakkai gave him a questioning look, but the brunet shook his head.

"I'm gonna go talk to 'im. Don't worry 'Kai," he smiled when the turned-demon started to protest, "I know what's goin' on."

With that, the boy went up the stairs to his and Sanzo's room. Goku went straight in, not bothering to knock, and smiled slightly at Sanzo's glare.

"I don't remember saying you could come in," the blonde ground out, lighting yet another cigarette. Goku sat down on his bed, which was close to where Sanzo was sitting.

"It's the rain, huh? I know ya don't like it," he murmured, looking over at him.

Sanzo grunted. "What about it?" Goku's smile just widened, and Sanzo knew something bad was going to happen.

"I know how to help!"

Sanzo scowled and put out his cigarette, crossing his arms. "I never said I wanted-"

"Come on Sanzo!" Goku cut him off, clinging to his arm and dragging the monk out of the room.

Gojyo looked up from his game with Hakkai at their dinner table to see the monkey taking Sanzo outside into the pouring rain. Hakkai gave him a look before he could say anything.

Sanzo wondered why he was letting himself get dragged outside when the weather was like this. He wanted to get his mind off of the drops falling from the sky, not get drenched with them.

Ripping his arm away, he realized it was too late, and within moments he and the monkey were soaked. Glaring at his charge, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Why the hell did you bring me out here, you stupid monkey?"

Goku bounced around in the rain, grinning. "'m making the rain fun!" Sanzo gave him a look that said 'You better have a better reason than that.'

Not deterred from his goal, the boy splashed in a puddle right next to Sanzo. By the darkening expression on the priest's face, he wasn't taking this 'fun' very well.

"You shitty little…"

"Eep!" Goku jumped. "I just wanted ta give ya better memories of rain and stuff!" As he moved towards Sanzo, the blonde did something somewhat unexpected.

Resting his hand on the back of Goku's head, he pushed down. Goku yelped and landed face first in a puddle, flailing as he got soaked to the bone.

"You know…this is kind of fun…" Sanzo muttered, and the brunet looked up just in time to see a half smirk, half smile appear on the blonde's face. Smiling back, Goku laughed.

"Alright children, it's time to come back inside. You don't want to catch a cold now, do you?" Both heads turned to see Hakkai standing in the front doorway of the inn.

"'Kay!" Goku got up and ran over quickly, leaving Sanzo to slowly follow, grunting.

"Idiot…"

Hakkai shook his head, following them to help put their dripping clothes somewhere to dry as they changed. Gojyo was nowhere to be found; either off with some ladies or hiding in his and Hakkai's room.

Sanzo glanced out the window as he finished dressing, sighing tiredly to himself. Maybe the rain wasn't so bad after all…
