The battle was almost over. Ultron's clones were losing their numbers, they were going to win. Then, Ultron took over the jet. He flew around the city quietly singing to himself, "No Strings on Me" from Pinocchio shooting at innocent civilians and the Avengers.

He shot at the Hulk and Ms. Romanov. Mr. Rodgers, anyone he had in his sight. He even shot at Hawkeye while he was rescuing a child. And that was the moment that Vision felt her pain.

There had obviously been a link between Wanda and Pietro, either through their bond as siblings or through Wanda's telepathy, or possibly both. Out of the corner of his eye Vision saw Hulk launch himself into the jet and throw Ultron out. The lifeboats were full and secure they were taking people onto the main ship being run by Nick Fury. Vision was circling the city making sure there were no other androids running about.

Until the city started falling out of the sky. Jets protruding from the ground causing the city to fall faster. Just before that happened Wanda had found Ultron in a nearby subway car and had ripped out his artificial "heart" the core for his current form. But his consciousness had found its way into an operational android causing the city to begin to lose altitude. At the rate it was falling, billions would die. However, Stark and Thor were working on a way to cause the city to explode before it hit the Earth with its full force.

Wanda was still down there, Vision knew he had just enough time to fly in and get her to safety. And that's exactly what he did. He flew into the subway car and saw Wanda suspended in the air falling with the city.

Her hair was all around her, her eyes were puffy from crying, most of all Vision could sense her fear of death, and her sadness at the loss of her brother. He gently put his arms underneath her so that he was carrying her bridal style, as he looked into her eyes for that brief moment he saw how much she trusted him even though he had been around for less than a day. Before he looked in the direction to fly out of harm's way he felt a flicker of emotion he could not identify but now was not the time to analyze what he had felt, he had to get them both to safety.

Wanda stared at him, her eyes full of curiosity, this synthetic person who had been created less than twenty-four hours ago. Who from the moment he had started forming in the cradle had her drawn to him. She didn't know or understand the reason, it was just how she felt.

When Vision got Wanda to the ship he set her down gently and watched for a brief moment as she ran toward the corpse of her brother after a quiet, "Thank you." He then flew off to finish Ultron so that he could never create a new body, and once again cause harm to innocent people. But before he flew off he felt a flicker of, sadness? Was that possibly the best word to describe it? But why sadness? Was it because he was about to destroy Ultron an artificial intelligence similar to himself? Or was it because she felt sad? And it made him feel sad that he couldn't do anything other than what he was supposed to?

As Wanda approached the body of her brother she felt the tears beginning to surface again. Why did this happen? First their parents with Stark's bomb. Now her brother who was shot by one of Stark's creations. Meanwhile, in the distance there was a bright yellow light shining as Ultron was wiped from existence by Vision.

A/N: Okay, first off the only thing belonging to me is the one-shot. Everything else goes to Marvel/Disney (and I mean the characters as well as the events that took place during the movie). Second, sorry it's short. But otherwise thanks for reading! Please rate and review! -NinjaHime
