There's only 3 weeks left for Helium2 to prepare for the singing contest….
Tim and Blessie are very busy practicing for the sake of winning and giving honor to their own section.
Tim began to playe the tune of O Little Town of Bethlehem…
And Blessie, being a good singer, practiced both the Soprano and Alto parts, carefully memorizing and taking in every note, words and melody of the whole song…
O Little Town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,
The silent stars go by..
As Blessie sang the song, Tim can't stop that certain urge to watch and admire Blessie, and compared her to an angel singing praise to the Lord….
Yet in thy dark streets shineth;
The everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight.
Everytime Blessie made mistakes, Tim was always the one to correct it and turn it to perfection; They're really meant for each other, knowing each others mistakes and abilities…
For Christ is born of Mary
And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
Their watch of wondering love..
Blessie on the other hand, thought of Tim as the music maestro. He could play many instruments and capture everyone's hearts from each piece he plays…
O morning stars together
Proclaim the holy birth
And praises sing to God the King
And Peace to men on earth
These things happen almost everyday. They also try different approaches in teaching each musical piece and practicing the whole presentation, hoping to win the contest.
How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
No ear may his His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still,
The dear Christ enters in.
Blessie always does her best in everything. As she tries to teach her fellow altos the song, Tim watches her intently; Listening to her melodious voice blend in with the other alto voices. Smiling to himself, Tim played the tune of the last verse..
O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel
As Tim played the last note of the song, so did Blessie's singing. With her voice still lingering in his ear, and his tune to hers, both smiled. Blessie looked at Tim with happy confidence, and her expression read only one thing: "We could do this."
