Sunrise

by Lily Halliwell

The Haven was empty, as empty as Lillie Langtrys heart. The last person had left an hour ago, it was 4 am. The beautiful Toreador was sitting in a dark corner near the bar, she was handling a glass of red wine, she was lonely.

The place was clean and fresh, ready for the night. But it seemed different without a crowd dancing, drinking, chating. Lillie was looking at her glass, like seeing a dying baby. A red tear falling down her cheek that she rapidly cleans. She never cries, but the last events had made her feel human again... and as a human she cant control the feelings that burn inside her.

The relationship between Julian and Caitlin was the worst issue, but the death of Archon and the recently becoming of Cameron as Brujah Primogen were not minor problems.

"Frank" she tought for a second. Maybe Frank could give her what Julian couldnt. Maybe Frank could love her and understand her the way she needed "No way! Frank hates kindred" This last thought was abruptly interrupted by the sense of someone. The figure standing in the shadows next to the door was Cameron dressed in a navy blue suit and a sober tie.

"What do you want?" asked Lillie.

Cameron started approaching "Thats exactly what I was going to ask you. What do you want here? The sun is about to rise. The Prince wont be happy if his lovely Toreador Primogen gets burned, dont you think?"

"How long youve been there?"

"Plenty... maybe we should go to a safer place. You havent had your 'breakfast' yet, have you?"

"No" a slightly smile appeared in her face, but her eyes showed sadness.

"Is this some kind of 'love for a Prince' suicide?" he asked sarcastically.

"I dont have time for your bullshit, Brujah! Why dont you go to kill some Gangrels?" her eyes grew green as she stood up from the table.

Face to face Cameron didnt look at all scared. Toreador women can destroy their enemies using only charm and beauty but the anger was a weapon unknown for them.

"You look prettier when youre pissed off" he said "I was thinking in a more... 'enjoyable' activity than killing Gangrels"

Lillies eyes back to normal. In some sort of weird way that comment had made her laugh.

"Once you told me that Julian Luna isnt the only man for you" Cameron said looking at her icy blue eyes.

"Yes"

"Well. I hope thats true" he whispered to her ear.

"Mmmmm... what do you really want, Cameron?"

"For now just be your friend. I know its not a secret that I want to see Julian dead, maybe kill him by myself but, believe me, this has nothing to do with you"

"Its a personal vendetta, I know. Seriously Cameron, I dont want to be part of your little revenge against Ventrue Clan. You cannot make me hate Julian enough to see him decapitated, or to see Brujah ruling the city"

Cameron smiled, then sipped from Lillies glass. He looked to the door and his expression changed, looking back to Lillie he said "You need blood, the suns rising"

"Thats true" she said coldly

"Yes and nobodys here so... " he cut his arm and offered his blood to Lillie. "Cmon... I wont bite you" Cameron smiled to her.

She hesitated at first, but her teeth ached. The hunger was hard to resist so she took Camerons arm and began feeding.

After she finished, she looked at Cameron and he look at her.

"Dont worry Lillie... you dont owe me nothing"

"I know" she said with her breathy voice and sexy smile, then kissed him.

The End
