Marian clapped her hands, sitting down on a stool, a little ways outside the lovely party. She clapped and laughed and listened to the music. It was so beautiful. Marian always enjoyed watching these little parties that were put on by the Merry Men. She almost never participated, though. Prince John wouldn't like it one bit if it got out that Marian was dancing with men like that. Men who couldn't pay their taxes, or men who had their own reward posters.

John was a very protective uncle, but it wasn't for the right ways at all. He was protective of Marian, but not a good man. Marian would never say it out loud, but she hated living with her uncle. He was horrible to her, and horrible to the people Marian had grown so very fond of. She loved the parties. But unfortunately, because of John, Marian could never participate.

Marian hummed to the music, still clapping, laughing at the funny and amusing things that the people here were doing. The Merry Men were quite funny folk, and quite lovely to talk to. Marian often wished that she could talk to them more. Even join them.

Awe, joining them! Joining the Merry Men! Her life would be so much more exciting. Of course, she was a lady, but Marian still could dream. Not only the lovely people, the beautiful parties and the nice songs, but the man himself that the Merry Men followed. Robin Hood. The boy that Marian had played with when she was a child, and had cared to much for ever since. She hadn't talked much with him since, but she thought of him every day. He was such a free spirit! He was so jolly and sweet! If he ever came back, it would be like he had never left. No pain. No sadness. It would be the way that it always used to be with him.

Sure, Marian had seen him around, but they could never talk as much as Marian wished. Every time they stopped to chat even a little, one of Prince John's guards would pull Marian away, taking her to the castle. She did love her castle, but that was mostly because of her dear friend, lady in waiting, Clucky.

But it was days like this that Marian would remember and hold dearly forever. The days where she got to sing and watch the party that the wonderful men and women of Nottingham put on.

And soon, Marian decided to throw it all away. She knew that Prince John would be horribly mad at her, but Marian didn't care. She wanted to dance, join the party. She wanted more excitement!

Marian began to dance, tapping her feet against the ground, laughing joyfully. She clapped her hands as her feet touched the ground, spinning around.

The vixen had many peoples attention now. So many were in awe of her lovely, gentle dancing. The flawless spinning, the gentle taps of her feet, the beautiful sound of her clapping to the beat of the music.

No words were said. No words were heard. Only the music. And that was what happened for the rest of the night.

No words.

Which surprised Marian very much when she felt a paw take hers, pulling her into a lovely dance, spinning her around, moving fast. An enjoyable, fun dance. The air brushing passed them, them never staying in the same spot for long because they were to busy running around, sometimes sloppily, sometimes gracefully, but both not really caring.

It was times like this that Marian knew she was in love with Robin Hood. Even though no words were said, she still knew that he loved her, too.

Fin.

AN. Okay, so this is my first story ever, and I don't know if it's any good. What do you think? Thank you for reading!
