She laid on the cold ground, eyes half open after having been knocked to the ground with plenty of injuries. Her illusion magic had failed he. The bright red of her blood contrasted with the blue-black of her hair.

The young pink-haired 'Salamander' continued to fight in her place standing in front of her and protecting her. She could feel the heat of fire, though it didn't hurt her. It was actually kind of comforting. Once he'd defeated the opponent sat next to her. "I-I'm fre-eezing N-N-Natsu..." she spoke, staring at him with half-open eyes. She felt warmth in her hand, from his own body heat.

"I can't use my fire, it'll hurt you, but hang in there until I can get you to a warm place to let you rest." he told her.

"I-I can't s-s-stay aw-wake too much longer N-Natsu I'm d-d-dying h-here..." She felt herself being picked up and carried.

"Just a little bit longer, Ryuusei."

He carried her, running, until Happy came bu and told him where the closest house was, and how to get there. Her eyelids drooped a little more, feeling more tired.

"Stay awake! Just a few minutes longer!" Natsu demanded, running fast as he could with the pale girl in his arms. When he got to the house he knocked on the door and an older man opened it. "Please help my friend!"

She felt her eyes flutter open, she was warm now, but her hand was warmer than the rest of her. She looked over to see that Natsu was holding her hand, asleep in a chair right next to the bed she was laying in. She stared at him, he seemed so peaceful in his sleep. Her eyes welled up with tears as she let out a sob.

"N-Natsu!"

"Wh-Whats wrong?" he asked, waking up, only to earn a tight hug from her.

"You stayed with me the whole time! Thank you!"

"I'm not going giving up on you, ever. Merry Christmas Ryuusei and good job living."
