Tori: ^___^ Here's Reunion written by Michelle, the girl most of us know as Princess! I think she did a wonderful job, and I'll be sure she receives all reviews you leave her! Would I be correct in assuming this is for Mr. Barton? *WHAP!*
Trowa: *deathglare*
Tori: Right. I'll…stop meddling now. Eh-heh…
Reunion
It was at the dark hour when they met...The time of night when the moon shone the brightest, only hours before dawn.
She sat on the Star Gazing Rock beside the pond. Her dark hair was finally free of it's binding, blowing gently in the breeze. She awaited his arrival.
He walked down the dark, narrow path. It was too dark to see but he knew this way all too well. His bangs fell in his eyes as he walked. He knew she was already there.
The rock was only a few feet away and he could see her sitting. The pond glittered beneath her and the
night suddenly became very still and quiet.
"You've come?" she asked, not facing him.
"Yes," he answered, walking those few feet and joining
her on the rock.
The moonlight had changed her features. To him she seemed more goddess-like, almost inhuman.
"Our time is limited here.." she whispered, turning to
him.
A soft crown of dark metal appeared atop her head, as one of similar creation appeared atop his. They had proven their bond...the two finally together after years of searching.
"The sun will rise and all shall change," he
murmured, taking her hands.
They needed no explanation of this statement. All would change because of their reunion...Just as it had for the great Shinigami and Shinimegami.
The two were one and the same.. She, the Goddess of Silence and Rebirth and he the God of Life.
They had parted eons ago, but now their reunion would bring all to order. This night beneath the stars would
end the search forever.
"There is but one way to be certain.." she began, pulling the stray hairs away from her face.
He leaned closer to her and put a hand on her shoulder. The touch of a God was all but fire, but she
never faltered.
Tears formed in her eyes and she fell against him. His gentle embrace told her that her search was finally over.
He stroked her hair and kissed her forehead. He had found his soul mate finally...his true love.
The sun peeked over the horizon, cutting their embrace short. It was time to seal their eternal pledge, beneath the last few minutes of night.
He lifted her chin and gazed into her dark eyes. Tears were still on her cheeks as the pledge was sealed. He kissed her softly, the centuries of wandering finally able to desist. The kiss was short, only long enough to make the promise true...the sun gathered in the morning sky.
It was dawn like no other, the two reunited had slowed the sun's eternal path. Their crowns disappeared and they became their mortal selves, lovers as most would say.
The two walked arm in arm to the house. In this light the two seemed royal.. almost god-like.
