What's up, my peeps! Now... looking at the title, you can probably guess what this is about. That's right, it's Kataang Week 2018! Since I started my account late 2017, I didn't have a chance to write from last year. Well now I can! I'm really excited! And yes, I am still working on Into the World.
Also, I just uploaded my first Steven Universe oneshot yesterday! Go check it out :)
Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Enjoy!

Kataang Week 2018 Day 1: Mythology
"What's that one?"
"That's Tara, the eagle-hawk. She is the Protector of Tradition. Kind of Iike the Dai Lee, but less menacing."
"What about that one?"
"That's Suriya, the sky bison. Legend says that he was the first sky bison to fly."
Lying on the grass, was Aang and Katara, telling each other stories from their cultures based on the constellations. Since the war was newly over, they had a lot more time on their hands to relax, and be... normal kids.
Katara looked over at the airbender lying next to her. He seemed like a whole different person than the one she found in the iceberg. He was more mature, wiser, and confident. Not to mention she had less than an inch on him now. He's growing up, she thought to herself.
"Uh... Katara? Earth to Katara?"
The waterbender blinked at few times and shook her thoughts away. "Yeah?"
"You were staring at me."
Katara blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry, I was thinking."
Aang raised an eyebrow. "About what?"
Katara blushed even more. "Um... you."
The airbender blushed as well at her answer, and smiled. "What about me?"
"Well... how much you've changed since the I found you. It's like your a whole different person."
Aang smiled even more, and took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. "I think it's the same way for you."
Katara sat up, and looked down at him with a smirk. "Really?"
Aang sat up as well. "Mhm. I mean, you've always been smart, confident, beautiful, kind, and strong-willed, but now you have become a better fighter, and well..." Aang blushed harder. "More amazing."
Katara's whole face was now red, but she tried to ignore it, and planted a soft kiss on the airbender's cheek. "See? I don't the Aang from a year ago would've had the courage to say something that sweet to me."
Aang chuckled and shrugged. "Well, you still have that same affect on me. I still blush and stammer around you."
"And you think I don't?"
Aang pondered for a moment. "I've never noticed it. You've always been so confident. I thought it wasn't until recently that you saw me as more than just a friend."
Katara shook her head. "It's been a while actually. I guess I'm just better at hiding it than you are." Her expression softened. "When Azula shot you down, I had to wait weeks until you woke up. Those few weeks were some of the hardest of my life. Everyday I would go into your room and heal you, hoping that you would come back..." The waterbender looked down as she remembered Aang's lifeless body in her arms.
Aang frowned, and hugged his girlfriend. "I didn't know I meant that much to you."
The waterbender nodded. "Of course you do, Aang. You're one of the most important people in my life, you always will be."
Aang pulled away with a smile. "Same here... I love you."
Katara returned his smile. "I love you, too."
The two kissed, letting the stars shine down on them. When they broke apart, they continued to talk about the constellations, learning more about each other's cultures and mythologies.

And that's the end of Day 1! Hope you guys enjoyed! I've always admired Aang and Katara's love for one another. They would do anything for each other and it's so sweet. The next chapter will be up tomorrow! See ya later, my peeps!
