Suspicious Behavior
By RonHermione-LoveForever
Harry, Ron and Hermione were all sitting in the library frantically studying for their O.W.Ls. Suddenly, Harry saw a flash of long, red hair as Ginny came into the library and headed for the restricted section.
Harry stood up so quickly that he almost fell over. "Hey, you guys. I just saw Ginny walk over to the restricted section." Hermione eyed him suspiciously. "Well, she shouldn't be over there. I'm just going to go see what she's doing." Hermione gave him a knowing smile as he dashed to follow Ginny.
This entire time, Ron hadn't looked up from the book he was reading, Defensive Magical Theory : By Wilbert Slinkhard. Hermione found it extremely cute when Ron was actually focused on his academics. It was so sexy, the way he ran a hand through his hair and bit his tongue when he tried really hard to understand something.
Then, Ron looked up at her. Hermione buried herself back in her book, The Top 5,000 Most Significant Dates in Magical History. Ron gave her a slightly flirtatious smile and went back to studying.
Hermione was finally sure Ron was wrapped up in studying, so she let her gaze travel back to the gorgeous red-head across the table. Staring at his adorable freckles, she became lost in a daydream where Ron was less interested in studying textbooks and more in studying her mouth with his...
Unfortunately, her mind wandered so far that she didn't notice Ron begin to stare at her as well. "Ahem. Earth to Miss Granger."
"What?" Hermione blushed as red as Ron's hair. "I'm sorry. I mean... I wasn't"
"What are you talking about, Hermione? I didn't see anything." said Ron in a tone that clearly said he was only trying to save Hermione a great load of embarrassment.
"Nothing." Hermione said, already thoroughly embarrassed. Hermione went back to studying. or, rather, she attempted to look like she was studying. She was simply staring in the direction of her book, whilst going back to her daydream about Mr. Ronald Weasley...
"Hermione?" Ron seemed to snap out of her reverie.
"Yeah, Ron?"
"You're not really reading."
"What? Of course I am. Why would you say that?"
"Because, you're not. When you read, your eyes blur because you read so fast and you look as though nothing and no one could interrupt you, ever."
Hermione smiled at the fact that Ron payed so much attention to her.
"Why would you pretend to be reading and stare at me instead?"
Hermione became quite flustered.
"I'd rather you just stare at me... that way I can see your gorgeous brown eyes..." Ron and Hermione shut their books simultaneously without breaking eye contact. Hermione licked her lips nervously.
Finally, after five long years, Ron and Hermione had their first kiss. It was not fiercely passionate, nor was in incredibly long, but it was perfect all the same.
There was a giggle from behind the next shelf. "Gin?" Ron said questioningly. Harry and Ginny came out from behind the bookshelf looking quite guilty. "Finally!" Harry said rather loudly.
Hermione glared at him as though if he dared to say anything else, he would regret it very much. Harry straightened his glasses, which had become quite askew.
"Harry? Gin?" Ron looked back and forth from his sister to his best friend. "What have you two been doing this whole time?"
Ginny looked away nervously and Harry began to stammer. "We, well, I, Ginny and..."
Thankfully , Harry and Ginny were saved by Madame Pince swooping down and shooing them from the library for "causing a raucous disturbance".
With great, big smiles on their faces, the foursome went arm-in-arm to the Gryffindor common room to finish up their... studying.
