Zod stared down at the woman before him. She was perfect even if she was a human. The perfect mate. The perfect ally. The perfect revenge. He would finally get his revenge on Jor-el by destroying his son. How better then by destroying his son's best friend.
Chloe Sullivan. Was everything he could have imagined. She was smart. She was beautiful. She was strong. At least for a human. She had gone up against Tess Mercer and come out ahead. That had been what had put her on his radar. Some of his men had been lost by Tess Mercer's hand. This Chloe Sullivan was not to be trifled with.
Zod liked that.
There was something else about her. She had untapped power. This planet. This town that called itself Smallville had done something to her. It had given her power that even she didn't know of. It lied dormant inside of her but Zod saw it. All he had to do was bring it out.
All he had to do was bring out all their power and he would rule there puny humans, this puny planet with Chloe Sullivan by his side. All he had to do was convince her of that.
And convince her he did. It didn't take much. She like most humans had needs and once he discovered what those needs were he filled them willingly. Chloe needed to be recognized to be appreciated and Zod did appreciate her.
She was magnificent.
Jor-el's son should have seen it. Zod wondered how a man who could see so much could be so blind.
Convincing the others to accept a human into the fold had been difficult but not impossible once they had met Chloe they had all fallen in love with her. Men and women alike had taken to her. She became so much more then he could have ever dreamed.
She became their everything.
Now they would follow him anywhere.
The day they were married he gave her the most precious gift he could think of. He gave her a name. A proper Kandorian name. No longer would she be known as a human married to a Kandorian. She would be one herself.
It was his proclamation.
He would be obeyed.
Chloe would now be called Faora.
And they would rule Earth together.
It was their destiny.
