So... this is my first story here and I'm more than a little nervous :D

Since English isn't my first language I had some help from the lovely kellyanthropologicallyspeaking and my story is so much better because of her! :)

So without talking too much now, here's the first chapter. I hope you like it :)

One Night Out

"Come on sweetie, it's going to be fun, I promise." Angela stood in their dorm, already dressed and excited for the college party she so desperately wanted to drag her best friend to.

Brennan on the other hand wasn't anything close to excited. She hated dressing up for anything and she definitely wasn't one to enjoy parties. She'd rather spend her time in her room, studying and preparing for upcoming exams. More so since she studied some of the more intellectually challenging courses.

This was the reason all the others tended not like her. She had already managed to be labeled as the resident college 'social outcast' and she definitely didn't need another reason for her fellow students to make more fun of her; and Temperance Brennan at a college party would be such a reason. She couldn't even dance properly and she didn't like alcohol either.

"No, Ange, really, I don't want to go." She sighed in frustration. "I have so much work here to accomplish and-"

"No. That's always your excuse, Bren, but this time it won't work. I want to spend a little time with my best friend."

"Ange, I don't have anything to wear." She whined.

"Oh, I already took care of that." Angela turned around to rummage in her overflowing closet. After a minute she held a piece of clothing in her hand and a triumphant grin on her face. "You're gonna look so hot in this little thing."

Brennan's eyes grew wide. "I'm not going to wear that!"

"You will, Honey. You need a little makeover and who else, if not your best friend, can do that?" She eyed the girl thoroughly. "With your hair all pretty and a little make-up you'll look gorgeous, Sweetie." The determined artist took Brennan's hand and shoved her into their little bathroom.

"Ange, really…" She argued.

"I don't want to hear any arguments, Brennan. You need to be around other people from time to time and today is the perfect opportunity. You'll see, the guys are going to drool all over you."

Brennan gave her annoying roommate a disgusted look. "That's absolutely vile, Angela!"

"Way too literal, Sweetie. Now turn around, I need to fix up your hair." One hour and still a few arguments later the two girls were ready to go. "How am I supposed to walk in these shoes?" said Temperance clunking around a little unsteadily.

"They're called high heels for a reason, Bren, and your legs look awesome in them." Angela looked at her 'accomplished work' and grinned from ear to ear.

Suddenly a light squeal escaped Angela's mouth and she hugged her friend close. "Honey, don't get me wrong. I knew that you had a pretty face under that mob but seriously… you're stunning! If I wasn't already head over heels into Toby I'd take you instead."

Temperance wore a small black dress. The deep V-neck perfectly highlighted her cleavage and the silky waves of the skirt flew easily around her perfectly shaped legs which looked incredible due to the black high heels Angela had chosen for her. Her hair was curled loosely around her shoulders and just a few strands were fixed to her head. Brennan had chosen her make up to highlight her eyes which she knew where among her best features, optioning for the smoky look.

Note to myself: Get Brennan to wear more of these sexy little numbers more often.

"Come on, let's go, I bet the others are already waiting for us."

"I don't think so." Brennan huffed. She felt uncomfortable in the dress Angela had chosen for her. It was way too short for her liking and she already couldn't walk in those damn shoes.

I hope she's aware that I'm only going to stay for an hour or so. This party is really a complete waste of my time… She and Toby will make out after a few minutes anyway. She won't even notice that I'm gone.

As they arrived at the hall where the party took place, Brenan had to swallow hard at what she saw. The whole room was decorated with glittery garlands and balloons. There was people dancing and drinking alcohol. Some were even standing at the side kissing and then there was the music which was too loud to even hear your companion talking - and what type of music was that anyway?

Angela, who sensed her friend's discomfort, took Brennan's hand and walked her over to the bar where a bunch of her friends were standing.

"Hey guys, it took us longer dolling up then I originally thought. I hope you left us some of that beer." There was laughter about Angela's joke until the whistles drowned.

"Hey, Tempe, looking good" said some guy Brennan had never seen before with a seductive grin on his face; the others joined him. She flushed bright red and just looked down at her feet.

"See? I told you so." Angela whispered into her ear as she grabbed a beer each for the pair of them.

"Ange, you know I don't like to drink alcohol, it lowers your inhabitations, causes dehydration and that's not even taking into account the numerous related long-term health issues." She wanted to hand back the drink but Angela refused.

"Tonight is the night of exceptions, Honey. Lose yourself a little. You'll see, we're going to have so much fun.

Brennan swallowed again looking around the room. All the people really seemed to be having fun but she just couldn't relax. She felt everyone's gazes upon her, some from people she knew and others she had never seen before in her life. Brennan had never liked that sort of attention and scrutiny. Angela said I look good, right? So why are they all staring at me like that?

She couldn't help but feel insecure and insecurity isn't something Temperance Brennan normally felt. She was okay with being an outsider. She had her science where she could escape to. She didn't need anyone else. Being alone was something she had been made to learn many years ago. It had been painful and lonely at first but she had eventually grown to prefer it.

After a while – she had been daydreaming and didn't know how long she'd been standing there – Angela tapped on her shoulder. "We want to go dancing, Honey. You wanna come?"

She shook her head no. "I'm staying here." Angela didn't look happy so she quickly added. "I'm fine, don't worry."

"Okay, I won't be long."

The whole time, Brennan had sipped on her beer, not really noticing that she did so, until the glass was empty. She thought of leaving like she had planned but suddenly that seemed unfair to Angela. A few minutes later someone handed her a glass of what she thought to be orange juice. She looked up and saw that it was Cody. She knew him from a few of her courses but they had never talked to each other.

Cody was one of the so called 'college stars' because he belonged to the football team. He was tall, trained muscles, dark blond hair and piercing blue eyes. Brennan had to admit that he was quite attractive.

However, 'social outcasts' and 'college stars' usually didn't do more than just look at each other. Until now Brennan had always been invisible to him. Well, at least she thought so.

"Thank you." She murmured and took a sip of her orange, which of course turned out not to be orange but something of a much bitter variety. Yeah, I should have seen it coming. Cody is far too much of a good-time guy for soft drinks. She thought grimly.

"What's that?"

"Vodka and orange." Cody grinned smugly. "So, I've never seen you at a party. Your first time?"

Brennan nodded. "Angela forced me to come, she wouldn't take no for an answer."

"So…" He looked her up and down appreciatively. "You look like that because of Angela?"

Again she nodded. "I know. I wouldn't have chosen it either."

"Oh, no!" Cody was fast to answer. "You look good, kinda sexy really."

Brennan tried to hide her flushed cheeks by taking another sip of her vodka. It doesn't taste too bad, actually.

Cody meanwhile had taken a step closer and gripped her hips. Then he bent his head and whispered into her ear. "You know, I always thought you looked hot."

Brennan looked up and smiled at him shyly. "Really?" Stop that, Brennan! You don't care about boys and their opinions!

The boy smiled and nodded before he took her hand and dragged her to the dance floor. "Come on, dance with me."

Even though Brennan couldn't really dance properly, and had no intention of ever learning, she went with him willingly. After all Cody seemed to be really nice and he thought she was hot and okay maybe alcohol had made her just a little bit more careless.

Much to Cody's delight the DJ had changed the song into a slow one as they reached the dance floor. So he stepped in front of Brennan and brought his hands to her waist, successfully dragging her to his body. Brennan brought her hand up to his shoulder and then they began to dance slowly to the song.

"You know, you should wear something like this more often." He said after a while.

Brennan smiled up at him. "I don't own clothes like this."

"Well, that can be easily changed." He said and smiled sweetly.

She smiled again before she sighed contently and let her head fall to his shoulder, his grip on her waist tightening immediately. She didn't see the smug grin, which found its way to his lips at that moment. She also didn't see the wink he threw at his buddies standing not far away from them.

When the song had changed again, Brennan lifted her head, eying the people around her suspiciously as they were dancing and laughing happily to the fast beats.

Sensing that she felt uncomfortable, Cody pulled her off the dance floor and out of the room.

"Where are we going?" Brennan asked confused but went with him nonetheless.

"Outside, it's a bit loud in here, don't ya think?"

"Uh… well, yes, but…"

"Come on, Tempe, it won't hurt, I promise." He grinned smugly and pinned her to a wall of a nearby building; his hands on her waist. Again he lowered his head in order to whisper in her ear "You know, what I said earlier was true. You're hot, Tempe, and do you want to know what I love doing with hot girls?"

His words sent a shiver down her spine and she had to brace her arms on the wall behind her because her legs felt like giving in any moment.

"What?" She asked with her voice even more hoarse than usually.

Without another word Cody captured her lips with his and Brennan's hands tensed for a moment against the cold wall but soon she lifted them, locking them around his neck and the kiss grew more passionate as Cody opened his mouth and his tongue pushed impatiently into her mouth without waiting for permission.

She gasped at his harsh movements but was unable to do anything; her head completely vacant of thought.

Soon, Cody's hands began to roam. One hand found its place against her breast; squeezing a little too harshly, the other moving down her bare thigh and up under her dress, brushing against her panties. At that moment Brennan snapped. Her eyes flew open as she turned her head and tried to push him away.

But Cody refused to stop. Instead he turned her head again and pressed his lips to hers anew. "Come on, Tempe, you just need a good fuck to loosen you up a little." He murmured against her lips. "You want that, I know it." His hand had begun to pull at her panties meanwhile and with the other he groped at her breast violently which brought tears to her eyes.

"No!" She cried out. "Stop it, Cody!" Tears were running down her face and she squirmed, trying to push him away but she wasn't strong enough to free herself of him.

"Don't be a drag, Tempe. I promised it won't hurt but only if you stop fighting m-"

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!"

Cody stopped immediately and turned around to the man who had interrupted him. "Seeley Booth." He said knowingly. "Why do you want me to stop? I'm doing exactly what you'd do in my situation." He grinned obnoxiously and turned around to Brennan who still was pinned between him and the wall.

Booth grew angry. He gripped Cody at the shoulder and turned him around violently. "YOU KNOW WHAT I WANNA DO RIGHT NOW?! I WANT TO PUNCH YOU IN THE NUTS UNTIL YOU CAN NEVER GET LAID AGAIN, GET AWAY FROM HER, CODY, BEFORE I FORGET MYSELF!" He pushed him back a few steps.

Cody swallowed at his team captain's glare but stood still nevertheless.

"Get lost, Cody, I won't repeat myself again!"

Without another word or a glance back at Brennan he made his way back to the party.

"I hope I don't catch you doing this again, Cody. Coach wouldn't be so fond of it, I think!" Booth yelled after him before he turned around to Brennan, who meanwhile had tried to arrange her dress again, tears still running freely over her face.

Booth stepped up to her slowly. "Hey, you okay?" You could clearly hear the concern in his voice.

That's it :)
