Disclaimer: *sigh* No I do not own Romeo and Juliet. *turns to the lawyers* Are you happy, now get out of my house!
This poem belongs to me. I had to write this poem my sophomore year for English since we had just finished reading Romeo and Juliet. We had to write a modernized poem instead of writing in the old English writing. It is from Romeo writing a secret poem for Juliet, his feelings for her.
Can I compare you to a shining moon
You are lovelier and more bright
Your beauty is more enjoyable than a night in June
That love we share allows me to take flight
You are an angel that is glowing
Shining your light that draws me in
Your wings are clearly showing
Even that was a beautiful sin
But when the moon is unseen
You are surely to be missed
Our love is certainly supreme
You never leave me unkissed
The shining moon that gives light at night
Is my love for you that gives me the will to fight.
Hope you like it. ^3^
