Disclaimer- I own nothing recognizable; these characters aren't mine with the exception of my OFC Matt.

A/N- Do you remember this story? It was written a long time ago, when my writing was immature and just lame. I made a n00b mistake and inserted a real person into this show and damn, was that a mistake or what? So, I've decided to redeem my name on (I used to be known as Reid'sElf, if any of you remember) and rewrite this shit-tastic fic.

ALSO, this was originally written back when Elle and Gideon were on the show, so I'm keeping Gideon but replacing Elle with Emily 'cause I like Emily better. AGENT ROSSI IS NOT IN THIS STORY.

Warnings- May or may not include: SLASH, coarse language, violence, gore, mentions of sex, child abuse, mentions of rape...if you find any of this offensive, please click the little 'x' up in that corner.

So, yeah. Here's goes nothing. Enjoy…

"Agent Hotchner, I'd like to inform you of a new agent that will be joining your team. His name is Matthew Torino, and I believe that he will be a wonderful addition to your already elite team."

Hotch sat back in his chair and nodded. He knew that the head of the F.B.I., Agent Jonathon Burne, couldn't see him nod over the phone, but that didn't matter. He still could barely believe it. A new member? The team was already a well-oiled machine; wouldn't a new member be a bit superfluous?

"And his credentials? What would he be bringing to the team?" Hotch asked, needing to know.

Burne sounded amused when he spoke again.

"With Dr. Reid on the team, you're used to young geniuses. Well, we've found another. Agent Torino has a master's degree in psychology, which he majored in, and a minor in religion and culture. He's worked with an Ohio P.D. for two years and has been nothing but an asset in the solving of cases. He speaks at least five different languages and has an infinite knowledge of human behavior, and he specializes in mental disorders. Torino has a knack for working hard and finding the right criminal just in time."

Hotch couldn't help it. He interrupted, "I'm sorry, sir, but what's so special about that? Many agents have the same credentials and-."

"Agent Torino is merely 26 years old."

"Oh," Hotch said. That was all he really could say. He didn't know there were other people out there, young and intelligent and, well, so gifted. But another thing was also nagging at the back of his mind: how would the team react to another young genius? How would Reid react to someone else like him?

"But there's one thing you must know, Agent Hotchner. Torino leads a…how can I put this? He leads a somewhat alternative lifestyle. Yes. That's it. Alternative. But you can all overlook his bizarre antics because of his work ethic."

Before Hotch could protest, Burne informed Hotch of an important call on the other line and promptly hung up. Hotch let out a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose.

Why did he have such a terrible feeling that this just wouldn't turn out very well?

With a chest filled with an inexplicable dread, Hotch stood up and went to inform the team of the new agent.

A/N- Well, um, that's it for now. The intro. I already like it better than the original. Feedback? Con-crit? Loved it, hated it? Go ahead and tell me. I'm a big girl; I can handle it.
