I believe the summary says all.
(Except for the fact I'm writing a Harry/Ginny. I really don't like them...but...you'll see.)
Enjoy.
Snowflakes fell in flurries from the darkened sky. Swirling in the wind, they flew in the cold winter air, never touching the ground.
Everyone at the Burrow watched from the windows, faces pressed against the cold glass, eyes following the little flecks of white. It was the first snowfall of the season and a tradition for the whole family to watch. The first snowfall came late this year, and everyone believed it would only be after Christmas when they got their snow.
However, at precisely 11:30 on Christmas eve, snow began to descend from the skies.
This Christmas would be very different from the one before. Harry remembered last year very vividly, especially Christmas day.
It had snowed last year too. Sitting all alone, all he could think of was her and how much he missed her. How much he wished she was there, right beside him.
He missed her so much. He silently wished her 'Merry Christmas' in his head, praying that somehow someway he would hear her.
There was definitely nothing better than staying the warmth of the Burrow instead of the freezing forest floor. Night after night, she crossed his mind as he waited, searched, and waited. Snow fell and fell and he didn't have time to marvel in the beauty of it. He just wanted to come back to her.
This year he got his wish.
She was leaning her head on his shoulder, staring out the same window he was. The light from the outside snow was reflected back in her eyes, making them wide-eyed with wonder.
He smiled slightly at the look on her face, and said softly, "Merry Christmas Jenny."
She immediately lifted her head off her shoulder. "Jenny?" Only confusion shone in her eyes now. "My name is Ginny, Harry."
Harry blinked. "Er – I knew that."
Ginny wasn't about to back down. "Why did you say Jenny?"
For some reason, Harry knew he wouldn't believe the reason that their names were just so close. It wasn't as if he was cheating on her. But sometimes, especially in songs, one could slip up and say the name 'Jenny' instead of 'Ginny'. "Sorry. I was going to say Ginny but it just came out as Jenny."
Ginny hesitated, staring at the young man in front of her. "Harry-" she began cautiously.
"Oh, look at the snow!" he interrupted her, pointing out the window enthusiastically.
Ginny fellowed his gaze and watched the snowfall quietly. She laid her head back down on Harry's shoulder and thought maybe she had just heard things.
Fin.
