I own nothing.
Rain fell outside the window. An oink sounded from the small pile for new born pigs.
"Calm down. Calm down, Bucko." She gave him a warm bottle. She had agreed to watch the pigs, but he never said how many. Albert had met a lady pig Mr. Huen had brought over to make for dinner. Next thing the family knew, Arnold was holding a strike for her freedom because she and Albert were in love.
"So noble. So generous. Ahhhh." Helga sighed looking over her shoulder checking for Brainy, but why would he be in Arnold's room.
Heavy breathing sounded from the roof. Helga barley turned around as she heard the thump of an 11 year old falling. She went on with feeding the piglets. Three adorably hairless trouble makers.
"Okay so you're Albert Jr., Runt, and huh Arnold didn't tell me your name." She said picking up the oldest one. It squealed and ran away, but soon gave her a look of longing at sat near her. Turning away if she dared to try and touch it.
She looked at the list again. The pigs name had been written erased and H.G. had been written over it.
"H.G. weird name, but okay. Next thing on the list is story time. Man, you pigs are spoiled. Yet, I'm jealous. I long to know how it would feel for Arnold to read me to sleep, to kiss the top of my head only to be rewarded with my blissful snores. Oh Arnold."
As H.G. kept her space Helga started telling a story only to be ignored and have H.G. run away and eat one of her poems.
"Hey! Crimney! What do you think you are doing?" Helga screamed.
"I think she's eating." Suzy said from the doorway.
"Well, H.G. should eat something else." Helga said. "Wait, why I am I watching them if you're here?"
"Because Oscar is here too. Trust me you got the better end of the deal. That isn't H.G. That's just her initials." Suzy said with a smile.
"Suzy! Make me a sandwich! I'm hungry! The kitchen is so far away!" Oscar yelled.
"I have to go." Suzy said and closed the door.
"Suzy, HURRY! I'm starving to death."
"Hold on Oscar."
Helga looked at the piglet.
"Not H.G. just initials. Huh?" She started looking around. She would a picture of the pigs.
"Labeled. Thank you Arnold. Let's see. Albert Jr., Runt, and Helga Geraldine." Helga gasped.
"I think I just found out who my favorite is." Helga said and put the picture back on the desk.
Three hours past as the piglets went to sleep and Helga watched wrestling.
"Hey little lady, we're home!" Phil yelled.
"Hey, Phil. I better get going. Good night." Helga said. She past Arnold and he thanked her.
"Just be sure to tell Helga Geraldine I said bye." Helga said and closed the door.
"Will do….. wait!" Arnold's face froze.
"Guess you didn't hide your crush as well as you thought. Ay Shortman?" Phil asked.
"Maybe that isn't a bad thing."
