So, this is a late, hastily thought up Christmas story. I'm snowed in at the moment, we couldn't go anywhere for Christmas, not even for presents. Sadface. So, anyway, I needed something to occupy myself with. This is the result. This is loosely based off the song "Last Christmas" and I don't even remember who sings it anymore. And I finally figured out, at long last, how to do the ruler breaks! Go Shedi!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Ever. Sadface.
Next Christmas
Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
-Wham!
It was two days after Christmas Eve when they broke up. Up until that year, Layla Williams had always loved Christmas. After all, it was the only time of the year that her father let them have plants in the house. The rest of the time, due to his allergies, Layla and her mother were only allowed to nurture plants outside in the yard. The women would often sit or hours decorating their tree with all the flowers and fragrant plants that could fit on one area.
She gave Will her heart. He was her first love, and they believed that it would last forever. From Homecoming to Christmas, it was only a few months. Most of those few months were spent apart, Will focusing on regaining his popularity in school and proving himself to his parents. Layla hated it, and had often complained to Magenta, contemplating ending it. But in the end, it had been Will. He found someone else, a girl in the Hero class that looked suspiciously like Gwen and could even move metal with her mind. Not technology, he assured his friends, just metal. Yeah right. At least, Layla theorized, he wasn't trying to copy her.
When they all came back from Christmas Break, Layla looked decidedly different. Her long, flowing red hair had been cut short, the red replaced by a dark brown. Will, now dating the Gwen copy, didn't even recognize her and had gone to introduce himself as "the Commander, leader of the Stronghold Three". Layla laughed in his face. The flower child kept to herself after that, associating only with Magenta and Warren, her two best friends.
The next Christmas, Layla swore to herself that she would never be fooled by a boy again. Especially by a boy like Will Stronghold, an arrogant ass. If a man that looked shady attempted to hit on her, she simply told him that she had "No Dirtbags" tattooed on her beautiful, sex-changed ass. That usually worked. But deep in her heart, she knew that if Will had tried to get back together with her, she would have done it in a heartbeat. He'd fool her again, with only a kiss. But this Christmas, her sophomore year, she'd invest her interest and give her heart to someone special. Warren was special. And as she knew from last Christmas, he was great at comfort sex.
So... You guys know the drill. I enjoy reviews, rates, and chocolate. Peppermint if possible. Aaand I'm losing my mind. Sorry. Also, I am writing another WarrenLayla story that should be up soon. It'll even be a twoshot!
