This is just a short story, still hope you enjoy.

They got separated from the rest of the group, Naruto and Sakura. They were out in the forest and it was getting dark. Sakura felt the strong winds blowing and she anticipated a storm was on it's way.

"Naruto!" she said, "We need to find a place to spend the night."

Naruto saw a hut in the distance and pointed it out to her. They arrived at the hut and both agreed that this would have to do for tonight.

As they settled down for the night Naruto had a big grin on his face. He thought to himself, "Sakura and I are spending the night all alone, this would be a chance for me to make my move."

POW!! Naruto received a hard lash over is head. "Don't even think about trying anything Sakura said."

Naruto mumbled to himself as he hit the floor, "How did she know...?"

As the night progressed it started raining and the storm just continued getting worse.

Naruto couldn't take the silence in the hut so he started talking.

"Sakura, what's it like to have a family?"

Sakura's eyes widened in shock. "Naruto..." she said in a soft voice.

"I guess I've always wondered. I mean when Sasuke and I use to fight, I thought that was maybe what it was like to have a brother. And when Iruka-sensei would buy me ramen, I thought that maybe that is what it was like to have a father."

She looked at him with saddened eyes not knowing how to respond.

Then suddenly breaking that moment of silence he said, "Ahhh... what am I getting so sentimental for." with a big grin on his face.

"Let's just get some rest Sakura! We have to look for the others in the morning."

Naruto quickly laid down on the floor and fell asleep, but Sakura just couldn't get any rest she kept thinking about what Naruto said.

She thought about how lucky and blessed she was to have a family. How easy she had it.

She felt sorry for him. She couldn't even begin to imagine what her life would be like without her family.

She sat up and leaned on the wall. She watched him and started talking in a soft voice.

"Naruto, I don't know how you do it. How you keep going on everyday. You've been through so much and yet still go on. I admire you! I think you're one of the most amazing persons I've ever met! And I promise that no matter what happens I will always be there for you."

She laid back down, closed her eyes and eventually fell asleep.

The next day, they got up and headed out in search of the others. As they jumped through the trees Naruto just kept smiling and Sakura couldn't help but smile back.
