ONE: Secrets Are Revealed
I stood, unable to breath, as everyone stared at my head. I had finally been claimed. My multiple personalities had mad everyone think I might be Hephaestus, Ares, Apollo, Zeus, or Athena. Now, I was finally claimed. But by who? No one said anything. Nico di Angelo finally stepped forward. I looked up at the symbol floating above my head. It was a silver arrow over a crescent moon. Nico bowed before me.
"It's...Artemis..." he murmured quietly. My eyes widened and my mouth fell open.
Slowly, everyone else bowed, too. Chiron galloped forward. The game of Capture the Flag had obviously stopped.
"Jaden Marcus...daughter of...Artemis." he announced. Nobody was too excited.
"I'm...I'm...sorry?" I whispered.
"Don't be sorry, child." Chiron reassured me. He didn't look so sure.
Later, I moved my stuff from the Hermes cabin to the Artemis cabin. It was beautiful. The walls were painted silver. The floors were marble. There was a stone fireplace in the back. Silver shelves lined the sides of the fireplace. Four bunks lined the left wall. A door to the bathroom was on the right. Beside the door was a refrigerator, wooden desk, wooden dresser, and a medium sized door to a vault. I went into the bathroom and turned on the sink. I splashed my face and looked in the mirror. I did look just like Artemis. One time, she had come to camp and had taken a particular liking to me. I had the same wavy light auburn hair. Same light olive skin. Though I had my dad's hazel eyes. I went back outside and went into the forest. It was night, and everyone had gone back to their cabins. I jogged to the pier. Percy was there, too. I sat beside him.
"Hey, Percy..." I murmured.
"Hey Jaden. You know, I don't think you're weird. Because Artemis is your mom. I think you're amazing." he told me. I blushed and pushed my bangs out of my eyes. He touched my cheek, then jerked his hand away.
"Sorry." he said quickly.
"No, it's...it's okay." I reassured him.
"Wanna go for a swim?" Percy smirked. He was the son of Poseidon.
Before I could say anything, he pulled me off the pier and we barreled into the ocean. Percy created an air bubble around us. I was terrified. He held me close so I wouldn't be afraid.
"Beautiful." he whispered.
"Th-the ocean?" I asked.
"No. You." he replied.
"But...I-I thought you liked Annabeth..."
"She's my best friend. You know, like a sister. I like you." He pushed my bangs back and leaned in to kiss me. My eyes widened, and our lips met. And it was pretty much the best underwater kiss of all time.
I know, the end was kind of cheesy! And I know, the last sentence was from The Last Olympian! But good, right? Review and I shall give you a cookie!
