Being a Hater

Chapter One: Team Who is the heck cares

"TEAM EDWARD!"
"TEAM JACOB!"
"TEAM EDWARD!"
"TEAM JACOB!"
"TEAM-"
"WHO IN THE HECK CARES!" I yelled at both of them.
I wanted to eat my lunch in peace. And I couldn't do that with the constant fighting go on beside me. These were girls I didn't even care about, ones I barely knew. But they kept their mouths shut.
I was tired of the twilight crap going around. It was like the freaking Civil War! Either you were on Team Edward or Team Jacob. I however didn't care about any of it.
It was getting annoying with all the fighting. Either people were arguing about what team they were on or going gaga over the books and movies. Super annoying for a hater like me. Yeah, you heard right. I hated Twilight. And nothing was going to change that. Nothing.

"EDWARD SPARKLES!"
" JACOB TURNS INTO A WOLF!"
"EDWARD IS WISE!"
"JACOB IS HOT!"
"SHUT UP!" I yelled at those two girls again.
They were getting on my last nerve. If I heard one more word about Twilight again, I was going to hurt someone. Bad.
Who cared who sparkled? Who care you was hot?
"Uh, I do," a voice said from behind me.
"Oh, did I say that out loud?"
My friend Liz Ann smiled. "Talking to yourself again. Don't worry; it happens to all of us."
"I didn't mean to say that out loud," I told her. "It's just that, I am sick and tired of people talking about this Twilight stuff. DO you know how annoying it is to have girls yelling your ear, 'Team Edward, he's a wolf! Team Jacob, he's a vampire!' ?"
"Actually, Edward's the vampire, Jacobs the wolf," she explained.
"Who cares?"
"The point is, I think you should at least give it a chance. I mean, it's not half bad."
I shook my head before she was even done speaking. "I am not, repeat NOT ever going to read those books or watch those movies. Never."
"Suit yourself. But let me say, you are seriously missing out on something."
I smirked. "I doubt it."

"Hey Laney," I greeted one of my friends as she carefully piled old novels nobody's ever heard of into her locker.
"Oh, hey Cait." She stacked the last book on top and quickly slammed the locker door shut. "Ready to go the diner and talk back to the waitress wearing the 'Team Twilight' shirt?"
"I can't," I told her. "My parents said I have to come home right after school today because I was out last night."
"That sucks."
"Yeah, but we can go to the mall tomorrow. They just got a new collection of shirt with cats on them."
Laney had a weird thing for animal tshirts. She wore one almost every day.
"I can't," she said. "We're going to the grandparents tonight and we won't be back until Sunday."
"Oh, I guess some other time." I looked down at my watch. "Shoot, I got to go. I'll talk to you later!"
She waved as I ran down the hallway.
Yes, Laney was nice, a good friend, someone to laugh with, but the best thing about her was that she hated Twilight as much as I did. Maybe even more.
