Don't wake your mommy
(These characters belong to the author and not me unless you haven't heard of them before J please read and enjoy J thank you!)
Rob got out of bed, and turned down the baby monitor. Then he pulled on a pair of sweats before he headed out onto the landing as quietly as possible so he wouldn't wake up his wife. Rob pushed open the nursery's door as quietly as possible. He had changed the room from a spare room and into a nursery when he had found out Jess was pregnant. He had wanted it perfect and made sure it was perfect for his baby and that his wife loved it too. When Jess had saw the finished room, she did love it which made him happy.
That's all he wanted was that his wife loved what he did. Rob had waited to find if the baby was a boy or a girl before he painted the room. When they had found out they were having a little girl, he and Jess both went out to go buy everything they had needed. He planned on protecting his little girl as much as he protected, while tried to protect his wife and mother of his child. Rob hadn't wanted his little girl to have a crappy start to life. He wanted his little girl to have the best start possible. But not only that, he also wanted to give his wife a good life because she deserved it after all the pain she'd had in her life. He wanted his family to be happy.
Soft whimpering and cries came from the cot in the centre of the window. Rob walked over to the cot and found ten month old Millie awake and looking up at the ceiling. She was quite close to the baby monitor which was sat on the set of draws close to the cot, which meant she could wake her mom. But Rob didn't want a grumpy Jess walking around in the morning. That was why he had turned down the monitor in their bedroom so Jess could sleep. She deserved her sleep anyway. She was always working so hard for him, herself and their baby girl.
Rob leaned down and picked up his daughter carefully in his arms. When he had first been handed her to hold, he had been terrified that she would break in his hands. Sometimes he still felt like that so he was always so careful with her. He cradled her gently against his chest. "Shh…" he comforted his daughter, slowly and gently rocked her back and forth. "You don't want to wake your mommy," he whispered to Millie. Rob wanted to calm her down and make sure that she fell back into the peaceful sleep that she was in five minutes ago. Slowly Millie quietened back down and fell back into her peaceful sleep, sucking on her dummy. Rob gently placed his daughter back into her cot and watched her sleep. She seemed so peaceful while she slept. She was so much like Jess, already stubborn. She even looked mostly like Jess, except for the colour of her hair and eyes. They were his. He leaned down and planted a small kiss on her forehead. He smiled then headed out of the room quietly, back to his own room where he had left his sleeping wife.
