Disclaimer---I do not own Maximum Ride...I do own the character Tracker.....
enjoy...
I've seen human-bird experiments. I've seen human-wolf experiments. I've seen an experiment with a handful of different DNA. But what makes me different?
I'm a human-Bengal Tiger genetic recombinant. And what's more…they changed my natural color pigment. So I am no longer an orange tiger-person, but grey with the signature black stripes.
They, the humans that created me, said that "it is no Omega, but it is still top of the batch". I have no idea what it means. The humans also say "it is a perfected Eraser". They only bit of that I understood was Eraser. Every mutant here knew of Eraser. But Erasers are a dying race.
The humans call me Tracker. I hate that name. They set me loose in a giant room with many walls, and set another creature loose. The Humans shock me until I phase, into a tiger who stands on two legs like them. They let me sniff a bit of fur, and the animal inside of me takes over.
Then came the day that the other Humans came. They talked fast, making it even harder to understand.
The Humans I knew gave them a key, and took me out of my crate. They slipped a cold metal thing around my neck, and handed the other end to the stranger Humans.
I was truly a Tracker after that. Masters, as I referred to them, sent me out to hunt down creatures like me. I brought them back to Masters.
Masters let me roam around, but taught me which rooms I was not allowed into. I had more freedom here than my birthplace.
My life changed one day, when I was sent out to capture more of my kind…
"Are you sure that the Tracker can handle this? We don't want to lose him yet." The Humans that worked for Masters said outside my room.
"Positive. It has not failed yet."
"But no one could capture this group. Besides, the Tracker has only captured single recombinants."
"Send a group of those Flyboys with him."
Then they set me loose. I phased and knelt in front of Masters. They held out a piece of something soft. Not hair or fur.
"These mutants are more clever than what you chased, Tracker. Be careful."
Whatever they said had no effect. The opened two large doors, and I bolted out like usual.
Was it worth the two minutes it took you to read it? Send me some feedback, is it worth continuing? And if you have questions...feel free to ask...I'll let you know if I can answer them without ruining the plot.
For those of you who can't figure out when this takes place, it starts by explaining how my OC came into existance, then it picks up a bit before the Flock are captured in "Saving the World and other Extreme Sports".
