It's been days since Tony Stark's sacrifice to save the universe, and it's a bittersweet victory for the Avengers, reality was restored back to normal, yet Tony Stark gave his life to save the universe from Thanos and his forces. And it hasn't been a cakewalk for Peter Parker, to see another father figure die in front of his eyes, it's made him as depressed as he was when he lost Uncle Ben, then Gwen Stacy. Peter has been dealing with a lot of heartache recently, not even his bickering with Star-Lord about Toy Story 2 being better than Footloose could be enough to cheer up the Webhead.
That day in the Cemetary in NYC, he was visiting his Uncle's grave, paying his respects and talking about everything that Tony's done for him.
"Well, Uncle Ben, I really need you right now. It's just so hard to cope with what he did." Peter sighed. "I mean, I really appreciate him reviving me, but...I just don't know."
Peter brushed away a tear from his eye, then he said, "Well, the Funeral is in a week, and I talked to Ned again, I hear we're getting an old student to come home from his boarding school. See you around."
Peter walked away from his Uncle's grave, thinking about what he's been through, dealing with the Vulture, nearly being killed by Thanos, and what's next? Eddie Brock trying to desecrate Tony's good name?
Suddenly, he sees something that catches his attention, a Caucasian black haired 16 year-old girl wearing a funeral hat and a black long sleeved dress with a face as cute as a puppy playing with her toys. She was laying a flower bouquet on a grave as she quietly sobs. Concerned, Peter walks over to the girl, worried.
"Is everything alright?" Peter asks.
"I'm fine, it's just been so long, I miss her so much." The girl said.
"I know how you feel." Peter said, sympathetically. "Was it a family relative?"
"Yeah, my mother, Alyson Deetz." The girl said. "Died when I was 5. It's been so hard without her, and it would've been harder without Adam, Barbara or even BJ."
"I can imagine that, I lost a friend."
"Close to him?"
"Like Family."
"Well, I guess we can consider some of our friends or teachers family at some points." Not wanting to hear any more, the girl changes the subject, "So some of the missing Avengers are back."
"Alongside with half of the Universe." Peter mumbled. "It must've been a rough 5 years without them."
"10 times as rough as dealing with a world without Superman." The girl sighed. "Well, I should get going, my step-mother and mom are waiting for me at a hotel while we visit my dad's cousin, Stephen."
"You need a ride home? I could call for my Aunt." Peter asks. "Or a friend of my friend."
"That's alright, I have someone giving me a ride." The girl weakly smiles as a pale middle-aged and messy man appeared from a green car, helping the girl into the car as he got in the driver's seat.
"Well, she seems nice..." Peter thought in his head. "Maybe I can try to talk to her later if I bump into her again."
Little did Peter know, he was about to learn more about this girl's secrets as well about the supernatural, due to the girl having a history of liking things that involve the strange and unusual. And that girl, herself, is Strange and Unusual.
