D/C. I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog or those who are affiliated to him. I also do not own any type of Emerald Warrior, Aeliran, or umm… anything else that belongs to Super Sonic Chaos. Which leaves me with… my OC's. Half of this story also belongs to Super Sonic Chaos, and I own the remaining half.
WARRIOR'S TALE
The demon reared up on its hind legs, its blood red eyes looking ready to kill as the hedgehog never backed down from the aggression. This was surprising, for both the echidna's and the demon. No one had ever stood up to the great creature before, that seemed to take advantage of everything around the tribe, including the naiveté of their children, and here was their only saviour.
My Father sniffed, not approving of this… protector. He seemed pure of heart, but after a fierce war with a hedgehog tribe only a few months ago, we could not be too careful. I didn't see any rebellious streak in his soul though. Just pure determination to take that monster down.
It was over in a heartbeat. After a few minutes of competitive stare-down, the beast's patience had snapped. It reared up again, pressing its silvery-grey claws out as far as they would go, until you could actually see the pale skin keeping it in its paw. Deftly, it swung its black and green arm down to rip the 'annoyance' to shreds. I shielded my eyes, not really wanting to watch the brave hedgehog come to his end, all to save us. But a quick gasp from the crowd dared me to look. And when I did, all I could do was stare.
Somehow, the hedgehog had managed to roll to the side, his quick and agile body leaving just a flash of yellow. We all watched, wide-eyed as the demons claws sank deep into the ground. After realizing it hadn't hit its target, and that it was currently standing over it, reciting words in an unknown language made it go stir crazy. Trying desperately to tug itself free from the ground, but failing miserably each time angered it further. It obviously didn't seem very comfortable at the fact its lunch had managed to out-fox it.
And quicker than our race itself, lightning struck from the sky, electrocuting the demon. We watched wide-eyed as blood slowly raced down its body, falling in long black treads onto the bottom step of the shrine. The hedgehog grimaced ever so slightly, before turning on his heel and leaving, not even looking bothered at our eyes burrowing into the back of his head…
I watched the other Echidna around me with eagle eyes; no one seemed to be moving and all eyes were on him. Then, I felt a small tap on the back of my head.
"Princess?"
"Hm?" I asked, still not taking my eyes off the hedgehog.
"WAKE UP TALIA, TIME TO RISE AND SHINE!"
