Doki Doki

She was constantly amazed by the effect he had on her heart.

For something he couldn't see or physically touch he could drastically alter its rhythm. It would be beating away in its natural rhythm, one reassuring beat after another and she wouldn't think twice about it.

Then he'd walk in and that steady rhythm would increase ever so slightly. He'd offer her a smile that was more of a smirk than anything and her reliable heart would get caught up in it and forget a beat or two before quickly beating again faster as if to make up for the missed ones.

When his hand would skim over her skin in a feather light touch his actions deliberate and with a purpose her heart would start to beat faster and faster, trying to get in as many beats as it could. His clothes would come off, this time a conscious decision and when he took her in his arms her heart would be at a loss.

Conflicted between fighting hard and being drawn in by his charismatic aura and loving words. Her heart would seem to both stop and beat faster simultaneously.

It was in those moments that she knew her heart was faithful to him completely and he alone had the power to protect it or break it as he chooses.
